David's pov:
I sat on my chair in the conference room. I looked at my watch it was nine fifty nine. People of Ron's company was already here when I reached. I looked at the vacant chairs that was for the Carter's people.
I gave a chance to Mr. Carter when he said to me personally that his project was stolen by Ron's. Because as far as I knew the Ron guy is not a good person. He kind of gave a bad vibe to me and my wolf.
I again looked at my watch it was ten. I nodded my head to start the presentation. I don't care whether the other party was here or not. They started to prepare for the presentation.
Suddenly the door was opened and I was hit with a sweet smell. My wolf screamed "mate!".
I looked at the woman who was walking towards the table. She was wearing a skinny jeans, white shirt and suit jacket over it.
She took the sit and looked her opposite and smirked. She smirked at Ron? I smiled again. I saw her looking at the man at her right. I knew who it was, I saw him with Mr.Carter at the previous meetings, he was the one who told me that Mr.Carter won't be here today, there will be another person.
They were smiling to each other.
Me and my wolf didn't like that. I don't like my woman looking at some guy and smiling. Wait. My woman?
I was looking at her thinking that she looked everyone except me. Suddenly like our mind was linked she looked at me.
Oh, god! Her hazel blue eyes were so..
It was like she was calling me with her eyes. She suddenly tore her eyes away from me and looked at presentation that was going on.
My wolf was jumping with excitement.
But I knew women were all same. When ever they see me they just flash their ugly smile, they wore too exposed clothes. Tsk.
I was studying her, she was looking at the man who was presenting their project. I turned my head towards the man and listened to their project plan. Their plan was average just like the previous one they presented. I asked him a couple of questions, but he was unable to answer me. Then I gestured them to start. She stood up and walked toward the screen. She started her presentation.
I only focused at her. The way she walked it was like she didn't care anything at all. She put down her laptop
and looked up.
" Hello, my name is Adriana Carter. Let's start our presentation." She said and looked at Ron who was little shocked but instantly masked his emotion.
Adriana...Mmm..Suits her.I thought.
All the time through her presentation I could only focus her.The way she moves is so composed and gave a powerful aura. She wore less makeup. Her voice had authority. The movement of her cherry lips were driving me and my wolf crazy.
When she moved her left hand up, pointing upwards, showing her wrist.
I narrowed my eyes, there was a long cut that was healed somewhat but still visible. My anger rose.
Why she tried to kill herself? Was it because of somebody?
After a few minutes, she completed her presentation and asked,looking at me.
" Any questions?"
Actually,I was impressed by her plan,it was good. But I want to test her so I asked a couple of questions. She answered all of them with confidence.
I told her to sit. And leaned, keeping my hands folded on the table.
"So far, I saw both of yours presentation. Since this is a project that involves millions,I should make sure,it should be perfect.So I have made my decision.Ms.Carter, congratulations. Your plan is selected.The contract signing will be done day after tomorrow at ten. Meeting is over."
I said standing up.
When my words hit her, she smiled.
She stood up and shook our hands.
Her hand was so soft,at the mere touch it ignited electricity through me.
"Looking forward to work with you, sir." She said. I gave a small smile and took my hand from her. I turned and walked out of the room.
"Me too." I said.
