The scorpion demon could see the priestess’s luminous spirit dart making its way to him as he watched his minion disappear one by one, their cries dying as the guardian’s intertwined power reached them. Hoping to gather enough power to defeat the raging energy that sizzled its way towards him, the scorpion demon adsorbed the remaining demons around him before the priestess’s arrow could destroy them.
Quickly increasing the power of the shield of demons around its lumbering body, the scorpion stumbled back, half falling to the ground as two of his legs gave out under the force of the hit. Glittering red eyes watched for a moment as the blazing arrow hung frozen before him… inching its way through his shield.
