An hour passes. Raidon calls to tell us the fire started in the rear loading dock. They’re still waiting to get clearance to enter the building, so they can check the security cameras to see what started it. All the fire department can tell us is that an accelerant was used.
We don’t hear from them after that. I end up dozing off, only to be awoken by a loud knock at the front door. I see Rhen go to answer it, and my eyes flutter closed, until I hear a familiar voice. Bree. I instantly sit up, hearing her coming down the stairs.
“Bree, you can’t just walk down there,” Rhen scolds, and she stops on the stairs.
