Chapter 17

.: HOLLOWS EVE CHAPTER 17 :.

As we re-visit the situation at hand plaguing our heroes, Tomomi could only watch in horror and shock as a scarlet force started to swirl around Kaila, trapping her in what looked like a force field held together with demonic seals. The force field generated so much spiritual power that it knocked Tomomi backwards right onto the floor, causing him to drop his sword

"NO!" Tomomi said, grimacing at the force field that enveloped his friend inside. Kaila herself was at the forefront of the great terror that was unfolding, as she was under a mind control stasis for a short amount of time underneath the eyes of the vampire king himself. Dracula had finally made his move to go in and take them down, but first….he would start with the girl that was the most vulnerable…

Kaila's eyes were blank without pupils in them, as they were a distinct dark red color for a split second before fading back into her control. The mental stasis Dracula had her in had faded, and she regained consciousness to realize where she was. She looked around frantically wondering what was going on, steadily growing more and more scared. But then she looked forward, and saw something that utterly terrified her….

"Don't be afraid my dear…I am your father aren't I…..?" It was an image of what looked to be her father, except completely blackened and boney with decaying skin. Kaila didn't know what to do now, she was completely terrified and confused again!

. "What?! Tomomi?! TOMOMI! What's going on?! Where are you?!" She rang out calling out for Tomomi to come and save her. She turned her attention back to what she saw in the swirling scarlet force field and stepped back.

"S…Stay away from me….." She said…..

"Ohhh but my dear….it's me…your father…don't you recognize me? I only want to embrace you…..Do you remember me? …I was in your dreams… I was there for you even when I was dead…..and even then I still tormented you…."

The fear that had struck her like a freight train began to manifest as the memories of the horrifying nightmares she would have to suffer through came flooding back. Images of the ghastly creatures she encountered, her father's appearance, everything began to strike down on her as it slowly, but surely withered away at her sanity. "NO…..GET AWAY FROM ME…" She said with a hint of insanity….gripping her head as she couldn't handle the massive panic-attack she was having.

"I was always there….and I'll continue to be there…in your dreams….and in your nightmares…"

Kaila's eyes dilated completely, as her nervous breakdown began….she was officially paranoid. She couldn't handle it anymore, all of the fear she felt, all of the years of post-traumatic stress had come down on her seemingly in an instant. She had never felt so scared in her entire life.

"I SAID GET AWAY FROM ME!" Kail swung her weapon with as much force as she could, cleaving through the image of her mummified father with brute force and splitting him in half. Black blood spilled on her dress, as her father laid there a bloody mess on the ground and seemingly transformed back to normal. Kaila was even more flabbergasted, as a look of absolute horror struck her face. She couldn't tell the difference if that was truly her father or not before….now she knows…..She had sliced her real life father in half.

Kaila whimpered in complete fear as her father weakly said…. "K….Kaila…..chan…w…w…where….were you?" He continued to speak like that in a weak, but bone-chilling tone. Kaila started to break down and scream as the insanity fully developed inside of her, growing and growing until she just couldn't take it anymore!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHH! MAKE IT STOP!"

"HOLD ON KAILA I'M COMING! JUST HOLD ON!" Tomomi screamed as he ran towards the scarlet force field and withdrew his sword.

While Tomomi was running, Bats came swarming in front the windows, bombarding Tomomi as he covered himself. The bats formed a legion in the air as an image projected itself in the sky.

"It's you…..YOU SON OF A b***h! LET HER GOOOOOOOO!" Tomomi charged at the shield wielding his sword with both of his hands holding it tighter than he's ever held it before.

"Sorry but I can't do that…I'm afraid she's trapped in my scarlet night mare….Hahahahahaha…HMMAHAHAHAHAHAHA….."

Kaila continuously gripped her head and shook with fright, as she couldn't believe that she had killed her own father, or even an image of him. Suddenly, an echoing voice with a hint of distortion began to rang out in her ears.

"Do not deny it my dear midnight bliss…" The voice said, as Kaila looked up from her perch and looked all around frantically. She couldn't believe it, as even MORE demented clones of her father were seen in greater numbers.

"T…T-t-this isn't real….STOP! STOP IT! I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!" Her spiritual pressure exploded as she raised it as high as it can go. "GET OUT OF MY HEAAAAAAD!" She then began to swing her scythe like a mad woman at the creepy images of her father, cutting one in half from the waist and spilling even more black blood on her.

"They aren't real! They are just figments of my imagination! That's not my father! This is obviously a trap that I will not fall for! I can fight my way out of this! YOU HEAR ME?! I CAN FIGHT MY WAY OUT! I'm not scared! I'm not scared! I'M. NOT. SCARED!" She constantly said to herself as she knocked back several of the clones in triple succession and then swung around and cut another one's head off. The black blood spewed out of the top of its head and eventually turned to normal blood, spurting out like a volcanic geyser onto her visage.

Pretty soon Kaila had a massive pile of bodies that were moaning in pain and agony right in front of her, the sounds grated on her nerves so much all she could hear is the sounds of her father's moan…..

"HHHHRRRRRGGHHH….STOP IT…STOP!" She began to get intense flashbacks to her father's death, as we see Kazuyama, on the ground at first with several sharp bullet wounds in his body being held up by his daughter.

"STOOOOOPP!..." Kaila continued to say as the thought of Kazuyama's moaning as he died that fateful day began to haunt her once again. "STOP!" She just said "Stop" over and over as she gripped her head while unconsciously bathing in the pools of blood that surrounded her from the terror and guilt that she felt. Kazuyama died in her arms that fateful day, and she couldn't help but feel….somewhat guilty for it.

"HOLD ON KAILA I'M COMING!" That was Kaila's best friend Tomomi, keeping his promise to protect her. He withdrew his sword and made it transform into its released state. "ZAKUREIN!" He swung it with a great amount of force blasting the force field with a great amount of the swords spiritual power, but was only forced backwards once again. "AAAAAH!" Tomomi said as he crashed into the ground.

A pair of feet were seen walking up towards Kaila, as she could only grip her head and suffer through the un-paralled insanity that she was going through, this is the moment that could possibly break her….

"I hope you're having fun my dear…" A voice that was hard to make out rang out, as Kaila stood up with her legs curled inward.

"KAILAAAAA!" Tomomi tried to swing at it again but was only repelled back once more. "Don't worry! I'M GONNA GET YOU OUT OF THERE!" Tomomi constantly swung his sword with the same kind of power he used to overwhelm the giant cyclops demon, but the shield still held up.

An image of a person licking their lips with bloody vampire teeth came into view, as the person got closer and closer to the distraught Kaila Amiyuki. Kaila was going so crazy that she started to cry tears…

"MAKE IT STOP…..PLEASE MAKE THE MOANING STOP…" She said as she gripped her head, her eyes dilating as she simply lamented in her insanity.

"Oh I can make it stop for you….." The voice said as he finally reached Kaila and wrapped his right arm around her waist, then his left around her neck. Kaila's mental state was so fractured, that she could hardly feel anything.

Tomomi gave it another go with his sword, but still to no avail as the scarlet force field completely repelled him and flung him backwards, causing him to slide back. "Dammit! How the hell do you break this thing?!" Tomomi said in anger.

it seems the vampire king had made his way too Kaila, as he had bared his vampire fangs and loomed over her from behind….. "Time to make it allllll stop….." Dracula said with his haunting voice. And then in order to finish the job….he bit into her neck. Sharply drawing a lot of blood and causing it to drip slowly from the neck down. He began to suck out her blood and took as much as he could from her, gaining even more power from her mix of both living human and hollow blood.

Kaila's eyes fully expanded back to normal, as she was awoken by the intense pain that she felt within Dracula's bite. Kaila's entire body went somewhat cold for only a split second before her eyes started to vibrate and she rang out with one of the loudest screams she could ever utter in her entire life… "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Kaila uttered a scream that could only be described as utter torture and the most painful feeling of anguish. Tomomi's eyes dilated as she heard Kaila's intense scream, he grimaced and gripped his sword in his hand. He's finally had enough….

"YOU….YOU MOTHERFUCKEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR!" Tomomi rang out as his scream of immense rage turned into a massive dragon-like roar that nearly shook the entire castle.

This put Dracula on alarm, as he released Kaila from his grasp and looked upwards. "What the hell is that?!" Dracula said, alarmed by the sound of such a ferocious creature.

"HHHRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH!" Tomomi roared fiercely like a mighty dragon as the entire spirit of the Zakurein sword completely enveloped him, and he charged at the shield like a bull charging at a bandito. He rammed the force field with even more might than he could handle himself and his sword actually managed to pierce the veil of the force field!

"What?! What the hell is happening?! MY FORCE FIELD!" Dracula said in confusion, as a feint red-orange light began to shine on the inside of his forcefield.

Tomomi's eyes turned red-orange as he used his left hand to drive his sword even deeper into the force field. But it wasn't enough, it was only causing cracks in the force field….he needed more.

"ZAKUREIN….." Tomomi raised his right fist up high, as the spiritual flames from the power of the Zakurein sword began to envelop his fist completely. It changed into that of a mighty dragon's arm that was red in color! "Kyōryokuna…. KEN!" Tomomi drove his dragon-scale clad fist into the force field with enough force to destroy an entire mountain in one shot. The power of the attack completely shattered the forcefield and even took Dracula by surprise….Tomomi was even stronger than he thought.

Dracula grimaced, taken by surprise at the hands of Tomomi's power. "WHAT?! This can't possibly be….." He gripped his fists with intense anger at the scene happening before him, as Tomomi stood with pieces of the scarlet force field falling right in front of him as his jacket and hair blow in the wind from the immense power of the sword. "A LOWLY HUMAN…..A HUMAN DESTROYED MY SCARLET FORCE FIELD?! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!" Dracula rang out in disgust and madness, enraged at the fact that a mere human could actually shatter his scarlet force field.

Tomomi had shadows over his eyes, as his reishi power spiked immensely and he bared the Zakurein sword's dragonic aura, appearing as the spirit itself took form and roared at Dracula right inside his throne room.

Dracula looked up and grimaced in slight fear of the creature. "WHA-WHAT IS….THAT GIGANTIC MONSTROSITY?!" Dracula said as the creature roared at him. Tomomi then sprinted his way towards Dracula and slashed at him causing Dracula to block with his long sharp vampire claws and trapping them in a clash as Kaila fainted and laid on her back, nearly unconscious.

"YOUR f*****g DEADMEAT!" Tomomi said, staring Dracula down as they prepare for one hell of an intense fight! Dracula returned Tomomi's intensity with a stare of his own, then knocked him backwards causing him to slide back.

"Seems I under-estimated this human….No matter. I have to keep my composure and kill him for now. He'll make a good snack….though I must be weary of-" It seems like Dracula's thoughts were cut off, as Tomomi came down on him from up above with his sword.

"ZAKUREIN!" He swung it with amazing force and released a wave of the swords powerful spiritual flames, burning Dracula severely, however his burns healed instantly afterwards. "GRRRGH! Annoying HUMAN! BLOOD CLAW!" Dracula brought his claws up and they were awash with blood, as they glow red with bright intensity.

Tomomi & Dracula slashed at each other fiercely and clashed back and forth, trading sharp bladed blows before Tomomi swiped at Dracula's head and Dracula knocked him backwards with a sharp roundhouse kick. His strength was great but Tomomi managed to block using his dragonic arm.

Dracula breathed inwards as he prepared another attack… "DHAMPIR….BLOOD!" He spewed a plethora of blood out of his mouth that took the form of a giant pair of vampire jaws. The vampire blood jaws came chomping right at Tomomi, but he raised his sword and sliced them in half with the power of the Zakurein sword as he slashed a gigantic wave of spiritual energy at the vampire king.

Dracula grunted as he teleported to evade the powerful attack, he teleported into the air and made his bat wings appear, as Tomomi jumped high into the sky at the vampire king and one again locked blades with him. You could see the massive intensity in his eyes, as he glared Dracula down with enough anger to shake mountains. Dracula returned his glare with a slight smile, still confident that he could beat the human. After all…he is the vampire king.

Meanwhile, we return to the fight between the playful imp demon Ronove, and our favorite dysfunctional pair Wolfie & Steinman. Who were busy dealing with said imp demon, as Steinman was caught off guard by the nimble imp. However just in the nick of time….

*CLANG*

Wolfie stepped in to save the mad doctor from being completely devoured. Wolfie then wasted no time and forced Ronove back into a wall. Ronove crashed into the wall and then sprinted all along the walls at an incredibly quick pace, laughing all the way.

"OOOOOHH! Furry but wants to have fun too?!" Ronove said as he sprinted high into the sky.

"RRRRGGH!" Wolfie jumped at the little demon with enough power to nearly break the floor apart. "AGGH! Watch it ya' mutt!" Steinman said shaking his fist, as Wolfie immediately dashed at the little demon and clawed the spot he was on in nearly a flash. His claw attack was so powerful it nearly caused the wall to collapse; only leaving a sharp break in the wall as a whole.

"Whoa….such power inside of a werewolf….Heheheh, now I know why he's my favorite test subject." Steinman said, smirking in approval of Wolfie's abilities.

Ronove simply darted across the wall and hit Wolfie in multiple places all at once, but Wolfie could take it. He simply put his hands up to guard, but then decided when he's had enough, he would swat Ronove down with his tail. "RRRAGGH!" The swat caused a gust of wind to blow through the tower, as Wolf dashed back down onto Ronove, intending to stomp on him like squashing a bug.

"This….IS FUN!" Ronove said as tons of different chains came flying at Wolfie. Wolfie clawd through them all, breaking them apart with his brute strength. He then divebombed Ronove and causing an explosion upon landing inside the tower, once again nearly breaking the floor. Anymore and this could cause them all to fall beneath the tower, maybe even collapse.

"HEY! Quit breaking the floor apart mutt! You'll cause a falling out!" Steinman called out, with Wolfie responding with an ungrateful growl.

"OOOOHOHOHOHO! I have to admit, furry butt & green skin are fun to play with!" Ronove said as he hopped on both legs back and forth. "You must be with the Ten Commandments yes?! The king spoke of you to me as I slept! He said that you people were so much fun to toy with! That is exactly what the death beast, Ronove intends to do!" Ronove said, as his chains started to wrap around the entirety of the room.

The chains locked into several places across the entire building, and as they locked into place, this only served to aggravate Wolfie even further. "GGGGRRRHH…Annoying little TWERP! SHUT UUUUUPP!" Wolfie roared an intense roar, as Ronove was blown off of his feet, but was held back by the chains imbedded into the walls.

When Wolfie realized he couldn't knock him off his feet with just a simple roar, he decided to utilize his main method of attack…pure, unadulterated brute force! He then rushed in to punch Ronove, but Steinman stopped him in the nick of time.

"WAIT! Don't attack!" Steinman said.

"OUT OF MY WAY MAD SCIENTIST! I SHALL RIP THIS LITTLE DEMON PEST TO SHREDS!" He said, getting very angry.

"If you knock him off his perch, it could completely take this tower down you i***t! And we'll all go down with it!" Steinman said, alerting Wolfie of the situation.

Wolfie responded with a very low and scowling growl. "GGGGGRRRRHHHHHHH….." He looked back at Ronove, who sat there with his mockingly sharp grin. "SO green skin, furry butt?! What shall you do now? Die by my hand….Or die by your own hand!? YOUR CHOICE….." He said as his demented eyes continued to glow.

Now Steinman was officially angry, Ronove was smarter than they initially took him for. Together, him and Wolfie could only stand and glare at the little imp, as they were at his mercy.

And now we return to our final scenario of the day, as we rejoin Jack & Amuki, who have managed to find what they were initially looking for. They found the demented demon princess….

"Well…nice to finally see you again….Amuki. Hmhmhmhmhm." The evil princess tauntingly chuckled, as she took off her robe and revealed herself to them. Amuki gripped her fist and shook it right in front of her, taking two steps forward, ready to take her down.

"YOU!...You dare show your face in front of me….." Amuki said out of complete anger and disgust upon seeing the one that ruined everything for her.

"What in the bloody hell are ya' talkin' about love? We came here to find this bloody b***h in the first place!" Jack commented. "Calm down."

"Oh yeah….Sorry. I got so riled up I forgot the mission at hand." She said.

"Hahahaha, how amusing. Your still carrying all of that anger from the past? That is precious." Blood Rose unfolded her legs and then sat down on her bottom while continuing to look at Amuki & Jack from afar.

"Your damn right I still have a lot of anger….As if I could never forget the pain you caused! All of those innocent witchlings you killed! All for what?!" She yelled at her.

"Heh. I find that ironic considering what happened before." Amuki was taken back slightly by this.

"Huh? …" She didn't have the slightest idea of what she meant.

"You say I killed all of those witchlings….which I did. There's no denying my great sins….but…. If one is to say I did it for no reason, then maybe your mother could've told you. Or since your so called "Master" Lord Death watches over his realm, then maybe HE could tell you my reasoning for doing so." Amuki glared an even more intense glare at Blood Rose.

"Honestly, he truly is an idiot." Blood Rose said without fear. This earned her a hostile look from Jack, who didn't take too kindly to the princess insulting his master.

"He sends parts of his army to try and take me down, but comes in with virtually no plan what so ever? Look up at the sky!" Blood Rose raised her hand upwards and shot a pallet of what seemed to be a malevolent shade of red fire at the ceiling to blow a small hole into the roof of the castle. The moon's blood red glow began to shine down on the inside. It was very faint, as the moon changed from its light gray shade to a bit of a light pink….suggesting the change was just beginning.

"You see that? …did you forget?...tonight is the night of the great blood moon…..a time when death stains the entirety of the world around us….It is a time when slaughtering rings out in either planes of the universe….in either worlds…..it signifies the end of something very, very important. But it also coincides with the beginning of something that will haunt you for the rest of your pitiful lives…." She said with a smile on her face.

"What in the hell are you talking about?!" Amuki said, grimacing at the malevolent princess.

"Look around you…." She said bringing her arms out. Princess Blood Rose referred to the pods in which several hollows were encased.

"Hmmm….I didn't peg ya' for a scientist. What the hell's goin' on 'ere?" Jack said, looking at her with his frown of disdain directed straight at the princess.

"This is the beginning of the end for you pathetic hollow creatures. Its phase…. 2 of my plan to take back what rightfully belonged to me in the first place." She began to say as she put her arms down.

"NOTHING IN THIS WORLD BELONGS TO YOU!" Amuki screamed out at her.

"That's where your wrong witchling trash." She said. With Amuki gripping her fists even tighter as her anger continued to rise.

"They took what was rightfully mine, and I WILL have it back….ten-fold. So says the will of the destroyer, Lucifer." She mentions the Dark king himself, the destroyer named Lucifer.

"So you serve that bloody red demon bloke Lucifer eh?" Jack said while folding his arms, still keeping a strong hold on his composure.

"Not exactly." The demon princess said, causing Jack's eyes to expand a bit in confusion.

"I don't "Serve" him per se. I merely am carrying out his wishes to forward my own plans. Make no mistake….The destroyer will return and the Salvent shall be completed. But by the time all of this is over….You will all know the power of my wrath, anger and despair. You haven't truly seen my wrath up until this point. Now….you'll witness it first-hand." She said with a malevolent grin on her face.

"I don't give a damn about your wrath! What's with these pods?! Where are the innocent hollows you trapped and killed?!" Amuki cried out in anger.

"Like I said…. Look around you. They're all here." Amuki & Jack looked around and finally noticed what princess blood rose was talking about.

"Yes…NOW you can see it. These hollows have experimental blood, blood that I would need to create something that would protect me should I ever have any interference from the Ten Commandments…Not even the likes of the creator himself can stop what I truly have planned. These creations of mine are a combination of hollow and demon. They are my nightmares, and with their power, they'll provide a safety net for me should I ever truly experience and REAL interference…..though they are rather un-tested, they are completely re-born as demons with hollow blood. These powerful demons shall become your un-doing….The fun part, is that I have hollows of ALL types in my possession." This earned an even sharper glare from both parties, as the princess smiled at them.

"That phase of my plan is already complete, but what about the hollow blood you ask? Why would I need to utilize the power of several different hollow types in order to create an army of nightmarish soldiers? It's simple…the 3rd phase of my plan involves me obtaining a power that not even you can stop. It's something that Dracula has been working on for a while now….bless his soul. He proved to be easy to manipulate….a wannabe vampire lord, lusting after power. Hmhmhmhmmhahhahaah…" She tauntingly laughed, causing Jack to grip his fists with the same intensity as Amuki now.

"With all the blood from each and every hollow, I can create an astral body capable of keeping me here so that I can finally carry out my one true destiny! The destruction of Purgatory and the rise of demons around the entirety of the afterlife!" Amuki gasped sharply upon hearing this.

"At this point, the plan doesn't need any more words spoken upon it….too much information will be given. Luckily Dracula had this planned out from the beginning; it was a shoe-in the moment you stepped into this castle. That is why I say….Lord Death truly is an i***t. Hmhmmhmhmh…..hmhmhmahahhahahahaha….HAHAHAHAHAH!" Blood Rose continued to laugh manically, as Amuki had finally had enough.

She used magic to make her sword appear and made a mad dash at the demon princess. "No love! What're ya' doin'?!" Jack said, as Amuki could no longer control herself. "HAAAAAH!" She swung at the demon princess, who brought up a palette of vines to block Amuki's next attack.

"Well well well…..looks like the battle has just begun hasn't it?" Princess Blood Rose said, as she put her cheek on her hand while leaning on her elbow, with her other hand up using it to control the rose vines. Amuki glared and grimaced down at the demon princess with immense malice and hatred, as she backed up and slid upon being repelled.

"Dammit…..looks like there's no other choice. Hmph. I've neva' met this bloody b***h….but fightin' 'er looks like it might be fun." Jack's encompassing smile returned to him, as he used shokanju to make his swords appear right in front of him, holding them in a fighting position. He was prepared and ready to take on the Demon princess.

The real question however, is whether Amuki is truly ready or not. Years' worth of built up anger and frustration have plagued her mind every time she sees her, and the intensity inside of her is what is driving her to fight Blood Rose. And what about Tomomi & Kaila's fight with Dracula? Or Steinman & Wolfie's fight with Ronove? Can our heroes make it out of the black castle alive even? …Or will this be the final nightmare that our reaper girl and her friends can't wake up from?
