.: HOLLOWS EVE CHAPTER 10 :.

Kaila's Perspective

The winds are howling now right outside my door, as night once again come upon us in Kyoto. I spent most of the late afternoon chasing after that pumpkin-headed jackass. What did you guys do this afternoon? Ehehehe… *growl* ….

But in retrospect, I should be thanking Jack. He helped me truly get over that whole situation with Otsukemi. We sort of bended the rules a little, and to be honest I might get into trouble with my so called "Father" again, but it was so worth it. 'Specially to see the scared shitless look on Kamina's smugly face. He won't be bothering us again for sure…. So now it's my time to return to the real issues at hand.

I still have to find answers as to why I'm the grim reaper. Because in case anyone hasn't noticed, Lord Death hasn't told me anything about it. He's been putting me through bullshit training exercises, basically gave me a babysitter, and has been sending nightmares my way throughout most of my life. How am I supposed to believe that someone like THAT is my father? It's ridiculous.

Well maybe I'll get my answer today… because I'm going back there as soon as I rip Jack a new one.

"YOU PUMPKIN-HEADED JACKASS!" I roared at him from inside my room. I chased him all the way home, but calmed down once mom saw me bust through the door after him.

I basically went into a rage-filled tirade about his so called "Prank". "What kind of sick, messed-up, ass-backwards prank was that?! Me & Tomomi were having a moment you prick!" My face was cartoonish-ly angry too. With a vein mark & everything.

"Oh come on… I wouldn't say it was sick or messed up. But it certainly stank. Hehehehehahahahah!" Jack fell of my bed laughing.

"I'm serious! Stop laughing!" I said to him while thrusting my arms down in frustration.

"I'm serious as well Shelia. YOU were about to blow our cover to that bloke. And I wasn't gonna let that happen. Lord Death would have my head." After he said that, Jack took off the witch-like hat on top of his head, revealing a thick pumpkin stalk on it that was small in length, but big on girth.

"And I can take my own head off without even trying." He then… Pulled his own head off! EWWW!

"AAAAAAHH!" I screamed out loud, since there was green blood on the floor leaking out from his neck.

Suddenly I heard someone running up the stairs right after me, it was mom! She burst through the door to try and find out what was going on.

"Kaila?! Honey are you…. Ok?" Me & mom stared at each other for a few minutes awkwardly. After blinking my eyes like twice I finally said out of my mouth….

"Uh…..Hi mom." What made it awkward, was that there was green blood on the floor. And she could see it, but no Jack. Greaaaattt…

"Why is that spot on the floor green?... Did you use paint or something and spill it all over the floor?" She asked. I don't paint! Since when do I ever paint?

"Mom I don't paint. Don't…... don't mind that. It's ok I'll clean it up." You know of "A mother's intuition"? Yeah that's kicking in because mom gives me the most suspicious look EVER.

"Ok young lady. What's going on? You go out late and don't tell me, a random stranger from Australia moves in with you, and now there's green goo on the floor and you won't tell me?! Why?! You had better not be hiding anything from me." She said while tapping her foot suspiciously.

"I… I-uh…... Well…. You see- "I tried to explain it to her as I stammered, knowing that Jack would kill me if I gave the secret away. But then I was cut off by a familiar face.

" 'Scuze me Ms. A." Mom looked right behind her and Jack was there in his human form, holding a glass of…. Green… juice? What is that?

"Sorry mummy dearest I was goin' to get a drink. That li'le spill there is my fault. I had spilt it all over the floor and went to get a towel to clean it up." He actually had a towel in hand too…. Oh…. He's good.

"Oh…. Huh… I guess it's ok. Just be careful. We don't want anyone messing up Kaila's floors and leaving stains. But why were you screaming Midnight?" My mom asked me.

Jack looked at me and his yellow eyes flashed as he relayed a message to me. "PLAY. ALONG."

"Oh that's because of the stain! I never really get stains on my floor, plus some of it almost got on me! You know how much of a neat freak I am mom right?" I smiled nervously, trying not to show any sweat.

Mom puzzled for a minute and thought it over… "Hmmmm… *sigh* You two had better be more careful up here. Seriously you worried me for a second. And Jack I'd appreciate it if you drink and eat downstairs from now on ok?" Mom said.

"Aye Ms. A." He bowed before her, that's what WE do in Japan. Australians don't bow you pumpkin-headed pig.

"I HEARD THAT…."

NEVER MIND! Hehehhe…. Carry on.

Mom left us finally and I let out a sigh of relief…. "Y'know your mum's a worrywart. She must really give a dinky about you eh?"

"Yeah you have no idea…..HEY WAIT! Why did you- …" I had to adjust my volume so as not to alert my mom, so I started whispering.

"Why did you pull your head off? That was freaky!" I said to him while whispering.

"Because one, to prove that I could do it. Two, because I love freakin' you out. Hehehehe…" Uggggggghhhh… what a creep.

"This is no time for Jokes! Stop it and tell me why you brought me back here?!" I asked him with an angry expression on my face.

"Alright alright can't you take a joke? Jeez… you must have some real issues if she's this worried about ya'." ….. He…. Did NOT just say. I gripped my fists in anger. I'm done with this… I thought he might've been nice but I'm tired of him joking around all the time and creeping me out!

*SMACK* So I smacked him in his human form, leaving a red mark on his face. "I….am through with this bullshit… stop playing around…. And get to the damn point already..." When I get angry….. I tend to cry. A lot….. I was kind of a crybaby back then when I was a child….. seems that hasn't changed. So I started tearing up a bit. That… severely hurt. He has no idea what I've been through….

Jack turned back to me…. But he didn't look at me with anger or malice…. He looked at me with… regret. And his head was slightly down in remorse…. "Hey…. I'm sorry about what I said, I understand it was personal. My apologies." He said to me.

"*sniff* It's….. whatever just tell me what to do." I said while sounding like my voice is slightly breaking.

"No really. I'm honestly apologizin'. You don't need to bring out the waterworks. I didn't mean to harp specifically on any REAL issues you might have, or anything you might've been through. Trust me I've been through the bloody ringer myself. So I know how that feels-" I cut him off mid-sentence.

"You don't know how I feel!... The only ones who know are Tomomi…. And my mom…... No one knows how…. Scared I am because I can't let them know… but…." I wiped my tears away.

"It's fine. I'm sorry about hitting you in the face. I just got pissed that's all." I said to him while wiping my tears away.

"Hmmh….. alright then…... The reason I brought you back here, is because something BIG is happening in Purgatory. Something that might give ya' what you're lookin' for." I somewhat perked up and looked at Jack in response to this. Something that provided me with…. Answers?

"What's going on?" I asked curiously, whilst blinking my eyes.

"….. The Blood Prophecy is nigh." He said to me, as I blinked in confusion as to what he would mean by that. We're soon going to find out, as the sky is shown to be blue… but slowly and surely turns into an un-savory, unsettling blood red. Yet the moon remains unchanged.

And now, we've returned to the World of the Hollows, Purgatory. And without wasting anytime, Jack & I cut through the City of Nightmare and headed straight for the Castle of Nightmares. Where Jack explained just the basis of what the bloody red sky was all about. Oh god now I sound like him… Ugh.

"Wait… so the sky changes based on the current situation of spiritual balance in this world?" I asked him, since I saw the sky change colors at least two or three times.

"Yes…." He continued to say while walking forward. "With this blood red sky, something big is happening. It's the same sky that appeared long ago when the witches d- "He stopped mid-sentence and his eyes widened a bit.

Seemed like he was giving away information that was too private. "Never mind…. all you need to know is that the sky was like this once before. And during that time, major death occurred…. Bodies were scattered…. And the scent of death was even more pungent than it had ever been. The only difference is the deaths didn't occur in the outside world… oh no. It occurred in the midst of the afterlife itself…." Oh my god…. So all of the people that die in this world…. They REALLY cease to exist if they die?

"*gasp* ….." I covered my mouth a little surprised by what Jack told me…. No …. More than surprised. If that's the case, then someone must've committed a mass killing…. All those poor, unfortunate souls…. They never were properly laid to rest.

"However…. This does have an upside…. Whenever major death occurs…. Lord Death grows stronger…. As does his weapon…... "I paused for a minute and activated Shokanju, causing the reaper claw to appear in a blaze of black & orange spirit energy. I looked at the blade and, it honestly didn't seem all that different too me.

"The reaper claw…... " I said out loud while staring down the scythe blade in my hands.

"Come on, we don't have all day midnight. We gotta go report to the master. Plus, I'm sure your dyin' for a pink-haired change up right now aren't ya?" He means trading in Otsukemi for Nagasaki. The Amuki I actually LIKE.

"Alright. Let's go." And so we entered through the castle's black shielding permitting those without a protected mind from entering, and we went right to lord death's throne room.

And once we got inside, guess who welcomed me back with open arms?

"Kaila-Chan! Your back! I missed you Midnight!" Yep, Amuki herself. Her cheerful demeanor and hug-friendly vibe always brought a smile to my face in this haunting world of darkness.

She hugged me warmly and smiled, giggling a bit too. "I'm happy to see you too! But… YOUR CRUSHING… ME… *choke*" She's strong…. Good god I'm turning blue here! OW!

"Ey… belie that huggin'. Drop 'er Love." Amuki did as Jack had asked her too and dropped me.

I dropped to the floor and wheezed, turning white from loss of breath. Good god her hugs are gonna kill me. Hopefully just not in this world. But regardless….

"Oh yeah that's right! You guys are here for the blood moon right? Do you really think it's coming?" She was asking Jack.

"I dunno. But we have to be sure. I'm sure the creator knows. He knows that somethin's goin' on." I got up and was immediately curious.

"Wait… who's the "Creator"? And Amuki what's the deal with this blood moon thing? Jack told me that when the sky turns blood red, there's a lot of death going around." I asked her.

"Ooooh…. Ok, I think I can explain it too you better. But…." She looked at Jack with a look that.. I never have seen on a face like hers. She looked at him with this murderous look on her face, that had horrifying shadows all over it with her eyes expanded in such a startling manner. She also had a seriously murderous aura.

"YOU HAD BETTER NOT HAVE TOLD HER THE TRUTH…..?" Yeah she was definitely looking at Jack on that, not me.

"Ey, don't look at me I didn't tell her a damn thing." He said while a beat of sweat dropped down the back of his forehead.

"Oh well ok honey! *giggle*" *phew* …. glad that's over. Scary Amuki is not best Amuki.

"Ok….. so the blood red moon…. The sky…. It's all part of something that was predicted a long time ago in the afterlife." She said as she started to reflect on the past. She sounded a lot more serious than normal.

"Many eons ago, only Heaven and hell existed. The fault line between good and evil was never truly crossed, and both forces were separate. There was however the creator, and the destroyer, the King of Kings, and the King of Evil, the Light to open all paths, and The Darkness that would plague the world. These forces are known as The great creator of both the living, and the dead plane of existence, as well as the destroyer of said planes, who is one day said by law in the great testament by the creator himself, to annihilate both planes of existence and destroy the creator. For nothing could contain his ravenous evil. The creator, Arceus, and the destroyer…. Lucifer."

Oh my god…. Lucifer…. Does she mean?... "The devil? …." Amuki nodded in agreement. That's when I found out this was much bigger than I had ever anticipated. I started to shake in my shoes and dress a bit at this tale, fearful that I might have to one day cross paths with the supposed "Destroyer", but I kept on pressing forward and let Amuki finish her story.

"Keep going…." I said nervously.

"These two forces collided constantly, and both planes of existence could not contain their children, followers, and constant collision of power. It was a never-ending battle that became the fate of what we now call "Reality". But the Creator, Arceus saw that reality was imbalanced, and that his ongoing battle with Lucifer would destroy reality if it were to continue. So he made a proper balance and created this world, the world of the hollows.

As we've said before, this world is the fault line between heaven and hell, outside of the kingdom of nightmare, past the kingdom of Durelheim, and through my own home…. Tejiran…... Exists the true first circle of hell itself…. Limbo. That means that Hell truly is only a hop, skip and a jump away. But with the creation of this new world, Purgatory, came the creation of hollows. Creatures that have no allegiance. Creatures that neither create, nor destroy. They only exist to take. They exist to balance out the good & the evil.

It is said by Arceus himself, that if this line were to ever be crossed…. The sky would awash with blood, and a great sin for which the perpetrator committed must be punished. He or she deserves death. That's why the sky is awash with blood, it's color change signifies three things.

One. The world as we know it, Purgatory has suffered greatly and is suffering to the point of nearly breaking. Two. There has been a multitude of deaths that have occurred. Three. The souls that have died…. They're souls have been cast down into the depths of non-existence. As they now coast around with no true existence as black souls, feeding lord death's power tenfold."

OH MY GOD…. "Wow…. That's crazy…." This is…. A lot to take in. I mean…. Does that mean the reaper claw has gotten stronger? Just by death alone? And just what did she mean "New Testament?"

"Then what exactly is this "New Testament" about?" I asked her.

"I'll show you! Let's not waste any more time and go meet with Lord Death. He's waiting for you!" And so Amuki ran off into Lord Death's throne room.

"Heheheh. Pretty cool story huh Midnight Bliss? You can tell your kids once you grow older. I'm pretty sure it'll give them plenty of dream material. Hehehehe…." Jack cackled as he walked forward. I didn't even mind the joke he had put on me. I was still mystified by that whole spiel. It's crazy…. I mean…. Just what have I gotten myself into?!

And so we finally approached lord Death in his lit up throne room, walking forward we greeted Lord Death and bowed before him as he sat there on his throne, radiating a deafening blackness that was darker than the night itself with his spiritual power so greatly on display, it leaked out from his entire body. He still had one hand, though it remained as humongous and sharp as ever.

"Arise my subjects….:" He said out of his mouth, still with that monstrously deep voice that boomed and echoed as well.

We rose up and Jack stepped forward. "Master, please forgive out intrusion." Jack put one hand behind his back and bowed slightly in respect of his master.

"Jack!... You have committed a grave sin!" He said, leaving me kind of confused? What was he talking about?

"I don't understand quite what you mean master?" He said, but then my eyes expanded. I had figured it out…. Dammit why didn't I think about this beforehand?!

"I mean… YOU and Kaila have used your powers for personal gain! That is strictly forbidden! I can see and feel ALL that happens with my right hand… It better not happen again. Lest the next time…. I will not be so merciful." I said while his skull eye sockets glowed with a dark magenta glow.

"Aye master. My humblest apologies. It will not happen again." He said while continuing to bow before him.

"Kaila….. come hither child." I nervously stepped forward towards him, and I was right in front of the big black brute.

"Yes….?" I asked him quietly.

"It is time child…. You are very fortunate you know. The blood moon has come and now that means that a grave catastrophe is near. The situation has changed, so I am putting you on a very special quest. It is time you truly learned what your place in this world is. So listen to my words…..." Lord Death then raised his giant black hand right over me, and I looked up and whimpered with fear at what he might do.

I mean he's not gonna hurt me obviously, but I just couldn't help but be scared! "Wh-what are you doing to me….? " I asked him while stuttering my words.

"Do not worry child…. I will not harm you. But…. You must listen to my words…. And heed them greatly… DEATH…... IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER…..." And with that, his black spiritual pressure washed all over me. It felt like I was receiving a great power up or something!

Every part of my body was tingling with a powerful sensation, but I also felt a slight burning on the side of my neck, as a red mark that formed into an eye began to burn its way on there. The power subsided and I felt no different afterwards. All of that power must've vanished. I didn't even notice the mark on my neck.

"What… happened?" I asked Lord Death while looking up at him.

"Oh wow! You've been branded! Your officially one of us now!" Amuki pointed to the mark on the side of my neck.

"What is this?!" I asked, visibly surprised once I see the mark. I was so surprised that I even jumped back a little.

"That is the mark of the Death Hollows…. The death hollows are the most powerful kind of Hollows in this world. They watch over the lives of the humans and see all who enter into this world towards their true place in existence. You being the grim reaper, are of my descent. That means that you are officially a member of the Ten Commandments army. The name given to my hollow forces by the creator himself…." Lord Death said back to me.

"Lookie Kaila!" Amuki pulled down the collar on her dress, showing a LOT of cleavage, but there was also an icy blue pentagram star mark on her right breast.

"What are you doing?! …. Wait you have a mark too?" I asked her.

"As do I." Jack raised one of his gloved fists and it revealed a smiling Jack O' Lantern pumpkin mark on his fist. So they're all members huh?

"Listen to me Kaila…. You must go and meet with the other members of the Ten Commandments. They will direct you on what to do next about this blood moon situation." He said to me.

"Wait? Don't you know if many hollows are passing into inexistence or not?! Why is all of this happening?" I said back to him, he SHOULD know. Right?

"Alas… I do not know of the reason why this is happening… but I fear for my subjects… So I must send you downstairs to someone that oversees all of existence in order to maintain balance. It is time you met…... The creator."

"*gasp* …. Arceus…... am I really going to meet him...?" I asked myself. Why would I ask myself that out loud?

"Take her downstairs into the sacred chamber…. Its time." He said to us, as he raised his claw very slowly. I could feel the overwhelming power from him, it was absolutely terrifying just how godly his power had shaken me. As he raised his claw, I could feel the intense, burning heat of his reiatsu just completely overshadowing all of us.

The darkness he had spread with it nearly shook the castle a bit as well. This…. Entity can shake an entire castle just by moving his f*****g hand?! How is that possible?! How do you GET to be that powerful? I had no time for questions…. But this only posed even more questions. If he really is my father, then how did he become the god of death itself?

"Follow us Midnight." Jack said while walking past me.

"We're gonna show you something cool! And you'll get to meet some new friends!" Amuki said while grabbing my shoulders and walking off, following Jack from behind.

Well…. I'm here already. But…. There was one thing left on my mind before I had to leave… So I turned to Lord Death and I asked him….

"Your lordship? …. If I may ask?" I figured I had to call him "Your Lordship" Or something. No way in hell I'm calling him my father until he provides me with proof.

"Yes Child….. ?" He says to me in that bone-chillingly deep voice.

" What will happen to me if the moon turns fully red?... " I mean, the blood prophecy is pretty much an apocalypse conspiracy theory, now all of a sudden it represents death & destruction?

" That…. You will have to find out for yourself. But I can promise you this…. If you accept things as they are and welcome change…. Then it will make you stronger." He said back to me….

I just looked down and sighed a bit. I didn't really have a reason not to trust him, so I trusted what he said was correct. Everything that he has done so far, despite how terrifying and dangerous they've been, he's done for a reason…... Maybe that's it. Maybe that's why he's doing it….?

So you guys remember those stairs from earlier right? The ones that lead to Steinman's Lab? Well we're walking down those stairs right now inside of a spiraling staircase, down through what looks like the keep of the castle

This entire place is one giant castle I know, but what I mean is, there are giant tower like structures on the sides of the castle and they call those the castle "Keep". That's where Steinman's lab is, but it feels like we're going down, even further than his lab.

To clarify, we pass his lab first on the way to this "Sacred Chamber" Or whatever and pay that lunatic a visit.

"Ey! Open the bloody door ya' looney!" Jack knocks on his door violently to get his attention, making me jump every time he knocks! He's knocking on solid stone by the way.

"Come on ooooout! We've got a special surprise for death's daughter!" Amuki said as a beat of sweat drops down my forehead… I wish she hadn't have said that.

Steinman opens the door and greets us with his hair all frizzy from experimentation. "EVERYONE! Come in, Come in! I have an extremely interesting development to show you. I'm busy working on Wolfie! AND HE'S GOING THROUGH… *deep gasp* …. Metamorphosis!" Meta-what….?

"*gasp* No way? How'd you figured it out?!" Amuki asked while her hands were over her mouth.

"Simple genetics my dear Witch princess… Simple Genetics! Come inside… ALL OF YOU!" Jack was reluctant too because we had some real work that needed to be done.

"I don't have time for your boppy experiments Stein. We've got work to do, now let's get goin'." Amuki wrapped her arms around Jack's arm upon him saying that.

"Awwww come on Jacky? Let's see what he's got up his sleeve! It might be fun. His experiments always go horribly wrong anyway." She said while smiling at him, prompting Jack to look away embarrassingly with a low, but snide growl.

"HEY! My experiments don't ALWAYS bomb! Let me show you!" Steinman professed angrily, as he went back into the lab, and we all followed him inside…

What we were greeted too was Wolfie, the werewolf hollow that attacked me once I was ordained as the grim reaper and slayed my first demon from before….. *shudders*…. He was strapped to an experimental… rock bed with weird markings on it.

"Ergh! ….. RRRGGH!... Let me out of here! THIS PLAN! It will fail Stein! It always does!" Wolfie said, struggling to get free. It seems he doesn't like it in there, also he's shaking his arms quite a bit.

"Silence Wolfie…. "He turned a coil and that activated the lightning rods that lit up in the background, filling them with purple electricity. "This experiment is almost over. Besides, I need your DNA in order to create…. "The Perfect Beast". My own special creation!" What?... Am I witnessing a freakshow here?!

"What's he talking about….?" I said, turning white with comedic fear.

"WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT?! I am talking about blending together the genetic formulas of two different hollow types using blood transfusion, fusion energy, and cross-breeding from a hollow corpse…. Of course." He's …...what? ….

"What do you mean from a hollow corpse?" I asked him out loud.

"Don't tell me your doing what I think you're doing…..?" Amuki said to him.

Steinman just smiled at him maliciously like the freak that he is. "I am dedicated to my research on how to create the perfect beast for the army. So…. Heheh… I needed a "Test Subject"." Steinman then pointed to the left.

We all looked and there was another bed… It was…. Oh my god… It's so disgusting…. "OH GOD…." I covered my mouth, gagging at the sight of a horribly mutilated hollow corpse. Filled with holes of blood and its face has been ripped apart and stabbed through. You can see that due to the massive amount of blood seeping through the bandages on its face, which has been covered up. Thank god… I would've actually thrown up if I had saw that …. MUTILATED face.

"You sick f**k…." Jack looked at him with disgust.

"Using our own kind for your crazy experiments is one thing… but using a dead body up until it's withered away into nothingness?!" He was a sick freak.

"Hahahahhaha! It's disposable! That which does not live, in life, or in death, is disposable! And if I find the disposable, one man's trash is another man's treasure…. Hhmhmh. And I've struck gold. So don't judge me because I was smart." I swear he's crazy…. He's constantly looking up at the ceiling. He's trying way too hard to be insane.

"HEY! GET ME OUT OF HERE! SERIOUSLY!" Wolfie roared at Steinman.

"What?! What do you want Wolfie?! What is your problem-"

"I need to scratch an itch on my back!" ….. Oh my …...Oh my god… I can't even.

Even Stein looked at him like ….. "WTF? Alright fine… don't want you tracking fleas all over my Tsuhashima bed." And with that, Steinman released him.

"RRRAGH! GOTCHA!" Wolfie pounced on him like a lion pouncing on its prey. Despite the fact that he's… well technically he's a dog.

"You shoulda' seen that comin' mate. Now let's go. You can finish your li'le experiments later." Jack said, as Wolfie gathered Steinman up and bear-hugged him to trap him and keep him restricted.

"AGGGH! GET OFF! I need to complete the process! IT'S MY ENTIRE LIFE'S WORK!" He kept going on and on and ON about his so-called "life's work" until they took him away.

"See? Isn't it fun here?" Amuki said while smiling at me. This colorful cast of characters is just too weird I swear. Also, why is it that Steinman is technically a doctor and he just got duped by two guys who aren't supposed to be smarter than him?

So we finally start walking towards the downstairs chamber holding these… "Ten Commandments" Or whatever. It's strange though, as we walk closer and closer, the light in the room glows more and becomes more illuminated. The torches burn brighter, and blue markings that look like hieroglyphs symbolizing past events and tragedies combined with these other markings I really don't understand start to align the walls and glow. Is this really the castle of nightmares, or is this the castle of LED lights?

I started to look around at all of these lights in the walls, wondering what they could mean. But I was honestly too afraid, and a bit perplexed at the continuity of it all. So I just decided to not bother and get down to the basics of why I'm here. To prepare for battle against demons who might be killing off several of the hollow creatures in the town of Nightmare.

"I can't believe you Steinman. Where'd you even get that damn corpse anyhow?" Jack asked while walking with his arms folded.

"I acquired said corpse not TOO long ago, but definitely much earlier than recently. It's strange how it showed up as I was coming home from Durelheim." Jack looked at him in order to prod the information even more.

"Durelheim huh? What were you doin' there?" He asked him while continuing to walk.

"You know me Jack Von Lantern I am a connoisseur of the finest…. And as a connoisseur I must uphold my standards in order to create the ultimate in monster evolution. So… I went where the wild things are."

"Heh…. You and your shitty wordplay. Hehehehehe." Jack looked away and actually chuckled at his joke in a slightly friendly manner. What? Ok…. Who are you and what have you done with Jack?

"Let's not beat around the bush boys…. We've got to introduce the reaper girl to her new friends." Amuki said as she got behind both of them. You know I'm right here guys.

"Ah right." Jack snaps his fingers. "Wolfie?" He said. We arrived at a pair of gigantic chamber doors. Wolfie pushed with all his might in order to get the doors open.

"RRRRRGGHH! RRRAAGGGGHH! GGGRRHH! GGGGRRRAAAAAAAHH!" And with one mighty push he threw them open. And I was greeted to what looked like an entirely different place….

The room I was in had an altar, a bridge-like pathway with a circle leading into the altar, several stone pillars, two stone tablets on either side of the temple circle, and a gigantic blue orb floating in the middle of said altar.

I stepped inside and was amazed at what I was seeing. Everything was in black & blue still, but the lighter shades made it much less scary. It was like everything was…

Holy? …..

"AAAH! What the?! How did you read my.…. Oh wait I forgot you can do that. Can't you?" He can read your thoughts… I swear if he uses that inappropriately….

"Heheheheh… Yes I can." He said while looking at me.

"Ah… You must be the new Grim Reaper I assume?" A random voice was speaking to me… but it sounded familiar.

Jack grunted upon hearing this voice say what he said. I know why… Jealous prick. Anyway I turned back to the altar, and there's three different people standing there. All of them different from the last.

There's a guy with a red, flowing mowhawk, a green, zombified eye on his right, a red jacket with black markings on it that on the back read "Without Honor Or Humanity" on the back written in kanji. He also had on several dark armor pieces including a visor that seemed to extend like a vein on the back of his head, several other pieces that were black in nature on his shoulder, waist, knees, and feet.

"WAAAAH! Who are you?! Why do you look like a gothic MMO character?!" I screamed out loud, while Amuki laughed.

"AHAHAHAHHAAH! Good one Kaila! That was so funny! HAHAHAH!" Jack put one finger to her mouth to make her be quiet.

"Hey! You don't remember me? …. I'm Reyabe's brother?" Wait… I knew his voice sounded familiar. Oh my god… It can't be him?

"Is it really you?... Akuyama?." It IS him!

"Yes Midnight…. It's been so long. How is my sister?" I broke out into tears…... He was a fallen friend who had fell victim to a very horrible group of people long ago… he's Reyabe's older sibling and if he was alive…. He'd be 36 currently. He died un-justly in a war he couldn't finish. But that's another story for another time.

"It is you….." I burst into happy tears and ran over to hug him tightly. He returned the favor and welcomed the embrace. "I see your beauty hasn't changed. You've still got those eyes." He said to me.

"I don't…. think these eyes are all that beautiful. "They're not…. I've always been stuck with these creepy yellow eyes. I look like a damn night wolf with these eyes. And now I have black hair whenever I go "Hollow" now? That just adds insult to injury….

"No they are. I promise you we all think so. Anyways I'm glad to see you again. But reunions will have to wait. There's something that we must tell you, and some people I'd like to introduce you too." He said, as he turned around and motion to the other two behind him.

"This is our A-Class War Strategist, and resident magician Gayami." Akuyama turned his attention to a black & Lavender dressed girl who looked to be a similar hollow type to that of Amuki. Though she didn't have a witch hat. She had this great, big ball of fuzz on her head that she calls hair. Sort of shaped like a cloud, with long pigtails coming out of the sides. She also had purple eyes and lavender colored hair, with ribbons tied inside her hair. Her outfit was something like the combination of a school girl and a magician at the same time.

"Hi! Nice to meet you. Your actually prettier than Amuki said you'd be!" She gave me a nice smile that was welcoming and friendly.

"Oh my god I KNOW RIGHT?!" Amuki said excitedly. "Yeah you DID!" Both of them went back and forth like preppy schoolgirls… Now I see where Amuki gets it from.

"And this is the ace of the Ten Commandments Army, the hollow swordsman Kozuto." And then he turned his attention to a black & yellow, but mostly black, looking fellow with short hair, and a sword with…. No hilt? And no sheath on it?!

"Pleasure's all yours, Grim Reaper." He's the exact opposite isn't he? I never expected him to be unfriendly. But then again I don't know what to expect any more in this crazy place.

"We are all royal members of the Ten Commandments army. We protect those stone tablets that you see before you." He pointed to the two stone tablets at the altar.

"This is the good part. Everyone gather around. It's time to welcome the creator…. "She said to everyone, as they all gathered around the alter to prepare to do….. whatever their doing.

All of them gathered around the altar respectively and started to hold hands, bow their heads down and close their eyes. They also started speaking a weird language….

…What… The Hell- "Whoa! Oh my god!" I saw the giant crystal ball thing in the altar float upwards and glow brightly, everyone's spiritual auras came out as the room started to glow and power flowed from the altar itself! Causing me to take a few steps back…

" , . ." What kind of crazy language are they speaking!? MY GOD This is insanity…...! I saw the giant orb retract its great power and then explode causing my hair and dress to blow back a bit, but I managed to cover my face from the great white light that had shine from the altar.

As I brought my hands down, I had peeked up and saw one of the most amazing things I could ever see….

"So…. YOU are the one…. I've been waiting once again to see you promised child. I doubt we'll get this chance once again…." A gigantic freaking mirage of god is standing in front of me…. I think I might just do something I'm not supposed to talk about. Laundry day is gonna be crazy….

"Oh my….. Oh my….O-Oh myyy…." I stepped back in amazement and fear… is this actually GOD in my presence. I also bow before he considers me disrespectful.

"It is quite alright child… stand up. You are worthy." He says to me. So I stood up.

"My… My lord? If I may call you that….. D-do… d-d-do you know what's h-happening? With this blood moon?" I asked while twiddling my thumbs, extremely nervous and overwhelmed.

"I oversee all, so I do know quite a bit about it. But first… I must clear the air with you. I am the creator Arceus. But I wish to be formal with you, daughter of Death." He said while floating as a giant blue image of a man. He looked like a ghost with blank bluish-white eyes and a white outline, as well as a large blue body.

"Ok…. So…. What do you mean by that?" He reached out and he touched my cheek….

"I understand you are very stars truck and quite a bit afraid. You feel as though nothing makes sense, and that all the answers you seek are not coming to you. That you've been thrust into a world that makes no sense to you, while also terrifying you at the same time. This is based on the fact that death is even more of a factor in the afterlife for someone currently living than it is for someone in the world of the living itself. Correct?" He said to me.

I narrowed my eyes…. He could read me like a book THAT well? "Yes….. That's exactly right." I looked down at being so emotionally visible…. Am I really that easy to read?

"Well I cannot answer all your questions right now. I put things in place in order to give all things order and meaning. Including you… You are an exceptionally special child Kaila, and you'll come to find out why later on in your life. As you grow….. but for now…. I must warn you about the hollow attacks that have been happening, as bodies have been dropping like flies." Arceus said to me.

"They have?!... What's been going on?" I ask him again.

"Two VERY Powerful demons…. Are aiming to make their way here and ruin the conscious balance of life…. They have committed great sin in their own lives…. So now they wish to destroy the lives of others. And they will do anything to get what they desire, including spill the black blood of several innocents. You and the other ten commandments army members must venture out into the city and find out what is going on.

Otherwise, if the enemy succeeds, then it shall be a day of reckoning for us all."
