Eleanor wasn't in a rush for class. Instead, she took a short walk with Ethan near the school. It wasn't until just before class started that she walked him to the bus stop.
"Martin, see you tonight, okay? And remember what I said—don't take stuff from other people anymore."
She waved at Ethan, who was sitting by the window. Ethan waved back with all his might, his hand flailing enthusiastically. Even when the bus started moving, he kept turning around, straining to see her for as long as he could.
