Charlie POV - The campfire glowed bright, lighting up Charlie and Flic’s features as it fought off the darkness of the night. The pair were digging into a meal they had cooked over the flame, the sounds of their cutlery ringing into the air. “This is delicious.” Charlie’s voice boomed, disturbing the sleeping wildlife around them. “You’re such a good cook.” She then lifted her voice even more, her words forced and dry. “For such defenceless women, we sure are good at camping all alone in the wild.” Flic was staring at her like she had gone crazy, but she just shrugged and had another mouthful of food.
