CHAPTER 33 After the match, Lauren walked out of the Royal Rumble pit without a glance back at Finn, the burning shame of the technical knockout overriding the pain in her jaw. She ignored the medic waiting by the exit and went straight to the small, cold backroom reserved for immediate recovery. She sank onto a metal bench, still trembling from the shock of the punch and the magnitude of her failure. “How could he do that?” She mentally asked herself angrily. The door hissed shut behind her. She didn’t have to look to know who it was. Finn approached her, his face battered and his breathing ragged, but his posture was completely radiating immense relief.
