CHAPTER 9 Lauren’s heavy, stomping footsteps echoed loudly in the hallway, her destination clear as she spotted Ryle just ahead. She was absolutely infuriated by his smug, unbothered composure after he so easily discarded Taron and Marcus, treating them as if they were worthless. Even though she despised Taron for assaulting her and delivering that gut-wrenching blow, her hatred was now primarily focused on Ryle. She was repulsed by his inhuman, heartless composure, the way he acted like the undisputed King of the arena with total disregard for the trainees he’d just demolished.
