Suzanne approached us and presented Alexander with a tiara on a cushion. He smiled gently at her and took the tiara. He turned to me and approached me softly. His eyes looked at me with such love that I felt my heart flutter with joy. Slowly, he placed the tiara on my head and kissed me tenderly on the lips.

There were murmurs of surprise from the crowd. Alexander put his arm around my waist and led me to the head table. The various Alphas and Luna filed past to congratulate us. My father was seated to my right, Alexander to my left, and I had insisted that my Gamma be seated to my father's right so that he would be close to me as well.
