After their delicious lunch, Ivy and Anna find themselves lounging on the couch, content with full bellies. As they chat, Ivy is suddenly jolted out of her drowsy state by the sound of a car pulling up outside. With a quick glance out the window, her eyes widen in surprise as she catches sight of a sleek, black car. Her heart skips a beat, and she knows instantly that it's Xavier.
"Anna," she whispers urgently, motioning towards the window.
"Look, it's Xavier."
Anna's eyebrows shoot up as she moves closer to the window, looking out at the car. "How the heck did he find your house?" she asks, perplexed. "Did you tell him where you live?"
Ivy shakes her head, "No, I swear I didn't. I'm just as surprised as you are." Her mind races as she tries to figure out how Xavier could have tracked her down.
Anna races back to the couch, hiding her curiosity behind a neutral expression. Ivy, however, takes a deep breath and approaches the door with a mix of apprehension and anticipation. Her hand trembles slightly as she reaches for the doorknob, turning it slowly and swinging the door open.
On the other side of the threshold, Xavier stands, his posture impeccable, a charming smile gracing his face. "Hey there," he says, his eyes fixing on Ivy. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
As she takes in the sight of Xavier, Ivy shakes her head, a small smile beginning to form on her lips. But before she can respond, she notices the flower clutched in his hand.
"For you," he says, his eyes twinkling as he presents the flower to her. "You look beautiful, by the way."
Ivy blushes, taking the flower gently and burying her nose in its fragrant petals. "Thank you," she murmurs. "You look pretty good yourself."
Ivy, a gracious hostess, invites Xavier into her home. He strides past her, taking in the interior of the living room. As he scans the space, he spots Anna, who was previously resting on the couch. She jumps to her feet, hastily smoothing out her clothing.
"Oh, sorry. I'm Anna," she says, a touch of embarrassment in her voice. "Nice to meet you."
Xavier gives her a friendly nod, his expression easygoing. "Nice to meet you too," he replies.
"What are you doing here, Xavier?" Ivy asks, her voice both curious and a bit suspicious. She heads to the dining table, placing the flower in a vase, trying to maintain her composure.
"Well," Xavier begins, an enigmatic smile dancing across his lips. "I thought I'd surprise you. I wanted to see you, and I figured what better way to do that than show up at your doorstep?"
Ivy purses her lips, studying Xavier's expression. "You're full of surprises"
Xavier's grin widens at Ivy's response. He takes a step closer to her, his voice dropping to a low, seductive murmur. "I've got a few more surprises up my sleeve, if you'll let me."
Ivy feels her heart flutter at his proximity, but she does her best to maintain her calm facade. "I'm listening," she says, her voice soft but not without a hint of wariness.
Anna, sensing the tension mounting between Ivy and Xavier, coughs loudly, breaking the silence that had descended in the room. Both Ivy and Xavier turn their heads towards her, their expressions shifting.
"Sorry," Anna says, feigning innocence. "It was just getting a bit thick in here."
Xavier gives her a knowing look, his smile returning. "It's okay, Anna. You're keeping us honest."
Ivy rolls her eyes playfully. "Thank goodness for Anna."
Xavier chuckles, taking a step back from Ivy. "Anyway, I should get to the point of my surprise visit," he says, his tone becoming slightly more serious. "I've been thinking about us a lot lately, and I wanted to ask if you'd like to go on a proper date with me.
Ivy's heart skips a beat at his words, her eyes widening, but she doesn't want to seem too eager
Ivy meets Xavier’s gaze, her expression measured. “Why should I go on a date with you?” she asks, challenging him to give her a good reason. “We’ve been circling each other for days, and I still don’t know much about you.”
Xavier considers her words for a moment, his eyes alight with amusement. “Fair enough,” he says, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “I’ll give you three reasons. One, I’m not boring."
“Two,” Xavier continues, his confidence unwavering, “I’ll show you a good time. I know the best spots in the city for dinner, drinks, dancing whatever you want.” He pauses, a playful smirk on his face.
“And three, I’m a great kisser.”
Ivy stifles a laugh, rolling her eyes. “Oh, is that so?” she asks, biting back a smile. “Are you trying to charm your way into a date?”
Xavier shrugs, a disarming smile gracing his lips. “What can I say? I play to my strengths.” He pauses, his expression turning more serious. “But seriously, Ivy, I’m not just trying to charm you. I’m trying to show you that I’m worth taking a chance on.”
Ivy meets his gaze, her own expression softening. “Well, when you put it that way,” she begins, her voice lilting with possibility, “maybe I could spare an evening for a proper date with you.
Xavier’s eyes light up at Ivy’s words, a triumphant grin spreading across his face. “I knew you’d see things my way,” he says, an air of satisfaction in his voice.
Ivy raises an eyebrow, a playful smirk on her lips. “Don’t get too cocky,” she warns, though her tone is lighthearted. “You still have to plan a date that’s worth my time.”
“Challenge accepted,” Xavier replies, his smile widening.
Xavier’s expression shifts into a smoldering gaze as he takes a step towards Ivy, his voice low and seductive. “I’ll take my leave now,” he says, his tone implying more than just goodbye.
As Ivy moves in to return his hug, he takes the opportunity to slide his hands down her back, cupping her ass in his palms. “Oops, sorry,” he murmurs, his lips curving into a smirk.
Ivy gasps in surprise, her cheeks flushing red.
Xavier releases her, his smile still in place as he backs towards the door. “Until our date,” he says, his eyes lingering on Ivy’s form. With a final wink, he turns and leaves the house.
Ivy stands frozen for a moment, her breath coming in short gasps. She can feel the heat radiating from her skin, a mix of shock and excitement coursing through her veins.
Anna, who’s been standing silently in the corner, clears her throat.
“Well, that was…interesting,” Anna says, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. “Looks like you’ve got yourself a date with Xavier.”
Ivy lets out a shaky breath, still processing what just happened. “I can’t believe he just grabbed my ass,” she says, her voice a mix of disbelief and amusement.
Anna chuckles. “Oh, he knew what he was doing,” she says, a mischievous smile on her lips
