She couldn’t believe her eyes or ears. Every word unfolding on the screen shook her, but what shocked her even more was Dante’s reaction.
When Emilia turned to him, expecting confusion or surprise, Dante didn’t even flinch. He kept a perfectly straight face, as if nothing unfolding was unexpected at all. No emotion. No shock. Just a calm stare. Then, with a tone that was almost too casual, he murmured,
“They deserved that. I warned them.”
