As I entered my room, I wasn't surprised to find a package on my bed. This was not the first, second, nor third time Atlas had sent me something like this; in his own words, he was spoiling his woman. Letting out a little laugh. I opened the note that came with the package with a gentle smile and, as usual, a sweet message from my moon prince."Hello, my little flower," the note read. "I've been invited to a party by a friend of mine, but not your average party, my love, just so you know.I know you've never experienced the excitement and fun that comes with a night party, at least not with me or anything I know of. Will you do me the honor of following your king to grace this event, my queen??I chuckled at the well-known nickname he gave me and the playful tone. Well, he made me laugh again. Atlas knew me just too well; I wasn't one for flashy outfits or garish clothes, as my appearance is flashy enough. Opening the parcel was a stunning-looking dress, perfect for a night outing. With colors like the deep sea Feeling already beautiful as the beauty of the dress clouds my mind, I continue reading the note."Hahaha, don't be surprised at this little package," the note continued. My queen I hope you like it I specially got this for you, and I think the color looks pretty sweet on you, my sweet girl. "You don't need to overdress or stress yourself about what to wear, my love. I know the stress and trouble you females go through to pick something to put on. Just put on what I brought, and you'll shine like the queen you are.I felt a flutter in my chest as I read the note, the butterfly in my stomach dancing with anticipation as my heart skipped a beat at the thought of a night out with Atlas. Never felt this joy in a while . Little did I know, this was just the beginning of a night that would change everything—the beginning of my nightmares, or, should I say, the beginning of a new adventure. ---Thinking of my journey, I'm reminded of the strong waves I've navigated. The pain and abuse from my father, my inner struggles threatening to consume me in whole, the pain and suffering my mother endured, my inner scars, which are quite visible in my eyes—all these shaped me into the person I am today. And then there's Atlas.Although it felt not right, accepting his proposal felt wrong to me. I guess somewhere deep down in me, I still found something missing and just could not accept him, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. I guess I was wrong about him.His charming smile and gentle nature were a smoothing balm to my soul, like early morning dew on my skin, healing me in places I never expected, a stark contrast to the cruelty and abuse I'd faced at home. I couldn't help but wonder if our love would endure all hardships, if we could navigate the storms and face all the challenges that life might bring together. I'm really lucky to meet him, Stella, though.
******************************************It's been months since Stella and Atlas have been together. Their fairytale romance captivated the whole school, making them wish they had something as beautiful and magical. They were the golden couple, with a love that seemed almost ethereal."As Stella entered the party, immediately her shining presence commanded attention, like a superstar illuminating the night. People were confused, not knowing if it was her dress or her looks that's almost blinding, then Atlas, her dashing, worldly handsome boyfriend, was by her side, and together they made the golden pair that turned heads. Atlas's eyes gleamed like diamonds in the light and sparkled like stars in the night sky, but underneath his smile hid a thousand lies. Stella's intuition screamed warnings, like a siren blaring in her mind. Something was not right, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that her boyfriend was in something. As the night wore on, plumbing into deep darkness, Atlas's behavior grew more bizarre and increasingly strange as the night went on. His laughter echoed through the room, but his eyes conveyed a different story. They seemed to flicker like a flame, burning with an otherworldly intensity as he stared at Stella like a predator hunting down prey.Stella's pulse raced with every passing moment, her mind filled with questions. What was happening to Atlas? Why does he feel off tonight?? Is it connected to this strange, inexplicable force that seemed to be pulling them apart? The music throbbed, the crowd cheered, but Stella's world was crumbling around her.I don't like this feeling she expressed. She had to uncover the truth, no matter how dangerous it might be. In the shadows, a malevolent entity lurked, waiting and ready to strike. And Stella was running out of time."At first, it was just a flicker of anger in his eyes, a fleeting moment of aggression that he quickly masked with his charming smile. But as the days went by, Stella saw it more frequently—the way he would clench his fists, the growl that lurked beneath his words, and the unsettling intensity that seemed to simmer just beneath the surface. But on this faithful night, with his strange behavior, Atlas left the party with Stella, and as the full moon's silvery glow confirmed Stella's worst fears,.Atlas is shouting at the top of her voice. What was that about at the party? What's this about?Your a mess. Atlas's eyes gleamed with an otherworldly light out of rage, his body seeming to grow in size and strength before her very eyes."Who are you?" He snarled, his voice low and menacing, his words dripping with malevolent intent. "And you better not make me repeat myself. Who or what the hell are you?" I've been trying to know who you are, but it's not possible, so tell me now before I kill you. What are you, Stella May? he shouted as bulging vein poped out leaving a terrifying appearance Stella was paralyzed with fear, her voice trapped in her throat as tears streamed down her face. She tried to speak, but her words were barely audible. "I don't know what you're talking about."The last thing she remembered was the searing pain on her left cheek, a sharp sting that seemed to burn into her very soul. And then, everything went black. When Stella came, she was lying in a hospital bed, her head throbbing and her mind reeling with questions. What had happened that night? What was Atlas hiding? And why did she feel like she was staring into the abyss, with no safety net to catch her fall? What was she forgetting? Why can't she remember? -
