Chapter Seven: Lillyanna

"Lilly, hurry up!" I hear my cousin Rebecca holler out to me as I finish getting ready for John's eighteenth birthday party. The Luna Queen Lady Labella and Alpha King Conner, were throwing a big birthday party and mating ball for his eighteenth birthday tonight. At midnight the pack will go for a run and Ella couldn't wait. "I'm coming!" I holler back to her and I hear Ella in my head. "OH we look good!" She giggles. "OH shut up, it's not like I'm trying," I tell her. "OH yeah? Well the other girls will swear you're trying to get John's attention."

I growl at her, me and John had gotten better. We still don't talk much but we do and he doesn't seem to have a problem with me anymore, which is great. "I AM NOT! I don't think of him that way!" "What if he's our mate?" She asks. "Ewww! Goddess no! And plus we wouldn't know until my birthday next year." I didn't have a problem with him It's just....I wasn't into him like that. Right? Why am I even questioning myself!?! "We might not be able to tell if he is or not, but he will since he'll be eighteen today!" I groan at my wolf she was a bit much sometimes. "Would you shut up?"I leave the room and meet up with our friends.

Rebecca looked stunning in her navy blue dress and blue heels. She had her hair pinned on one side with her hair down and curled. Addison and Adeline looked just as pretty with matching dresses, well somewhat matching. It was the same dress just Addison had a red dress and Adeline had a pink one. They both had their hair braided and into a crown. Sahra had a red silk dress, her hair was down as always but straight instead of her natural curls. I was wearing an emerald green dress with my hair down. Usually I hated my hair down and never wore it down, so tonight it was different.

"You're girls look hot! Josh, Aurther, Alex, and Henry will be speechless." I tell the girls. They giggles and Rebecca takes my hands in hers. "They won't be the only ones speechless!" She says excitedly. I roll my eyes, "Don't you start to , Ella already], thinks he will be our damn mate! Now I can't get her to stop thinking such silly shit." I groan, Addison smiles, "Hey you never know, you both might act like you don't care for one another but there's obviously a connection." I scoff, "OH please if anything we are just friends" they were starting to put ridiculous ideas in my head and now I was wondering what if we are mates? I push that thought away, what is f*****g wrong with me? It must be Ella's feelings and thoughts not mine. "Yeah right girl this is all you" She giggles. "SHUT UP!"

We all head to help finish setting up for the party and by time it's all done the party started. I dance with the girls and some guys who offer. I haven't seen John, he probably found his mate and was entertaining her. Why did that bother me? UGH! I blame Ella. "Just accept that you love him!" She laughs. "I don't love him!" Needing some air I leave the party and head to the doors, in the corner of my eye I see John watching me. Weird but whatever. I walk out and head to the pond that's just at the edge of the woods. I stare into the water, what the hell is wrong with me?

"Don't like the party?" I spin around when I hear John's voice. "What?" He laughs and walks over, "Sorry didn't mean to startle you Lilly, I was just wondering why you left the party." I watch him, why did he follow me out here? Why did he even care? "You didn't startle me." I mumble turning back to face the water. "And I just needed some air." "Air? From what? All the attention you've been getting from all those guys in there?" He says it almost like he was jealous of it. "What does it matter?" I ask. He tenses and I find that odd but shrug it off. He sighs and walks to stand by me. "Are you ready for the run tonight?" He asks instead of answering my question. "Ella won't shut up about it." I sigh.

I see him smile I the corner of my eye and I turn my head to look at him. "What?" He looks back at me, "What, what?" I narrow my eyes, "Whats making you smile? Did your wolf say something?" He laughs a genuine one that makes my heart do some weird s**t. "Axel was just saying how he couldn't wait to meet Ella is all." "Axel? Wait that's your wolfs name?" "Yeah, why?" "I like the name. It sounds cool" I mumble. It felt weird to compliment him. We've never complimented each other so much, or even talked this much. "Why did you follow me out here?" I ask curious. He looks at the pond water, "Would you believe me if I told you?" "Depends.." I look at him he looks deep in thought he might be talking to Axel then.

He runs a hand through his hair and sighs. "Will you attend the ball tonight?" "Why? You want me to watch you find your mate?" That sounded more jealous than I meant. "WHAT?! NO! I just..." he sighs. "I was just wondering. Plus I already found my mate." "OH" was all I could say. Ella stayed silent in my head and I was wondering what she was up to. She stayed in the back of my mind and I couldn't hear her. b***h left me to talk alone to him. I loved my wolf but she was a bit much at times. "Will you announce it later?" "Yeah." "Thats why you want me there?" "Its not like what you think." "And what do I think?" "Come on Lillyanna. I wouldn't hurtq you like that." "What?"

He groans before turning to me. "You're my mate Lilly!" I stay silent shocked, he was messing with me there's no way...right? "Come on say something please. Anything" I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. Was he serious? "Lilly?" I blink at him before I finally get out a "What?" I feel Ella come to the front of my mind excited. "I told you!" She beams. "He has to be lying" I tell her not believing it. "I was talking with his wolf Axel, he's such a gentleman. Anyway he confirmed it. No wonder there's always been a pull with you two!"

I mentally roll my eyes at her than speak to John. "Sorry but Ella won't stop gloating about how she knew it." He smiles softly something I've never seen on him before and it makes me blush and look away. "I won't claim you yet because I know you're seventeen but I won't keep my distance either anymore." I look at him. "So you won't tell anyone?" He gives a deadpan look. "Of course I will still announce it when the ball starts or ends whenever my dad wants me to." I blush. I should've known he would announce it. I mean that's what I want but it's still alot to take in.
