Chapter Nine: Lillyanna

I wake up to knocking and I groan, I had stayed up late last night unable to get the fact that John said I was his mate. Yes Ella, my wolf, said that Axel John's wolf, confirmed it sure but it was still a lot to take in. I had stayed up all night tossing and turning, it just seemed crazy. It took us a few years just to start actually having full conversations yet now....we're mates. I sit up and sigh as I hear the knocking once more and I get up to answer the damn door. I hated mornings but I always got up before everyone else sometimes. I open the door to an omega, well this was odd.

I go to ask her what she needs yet before I could my wolf goes on alert just as the she-wolf throws herself at me but I see the knife. What the f**k was going on? I side step her and she turns, clearly she knew what she was doing. Tired or not I wasn't gloating when I said I'm one of the best fighters in the wolf kingdom. When she turns using her momentum I twist grabbing her wrist and twist. She grunts and her claws extend out and she gets my arm but I ignore the burning and pain. I pull her to me and punch her, I hear bones crunch when my fist collides with her nose and she curses.

When she stumbles back my hand still gripping her wrist. I use her own weight to spin her around back against my chest my claws extended I let Ella on the surface just a little. "What is the meaning of this?" We ask her. She trembles yet stays silent and Ella let's our claw slightly cut but not bad. "SPEAK!" Ella was losing her patience and so was I but she couldn't kill her. I mind link the girls and the Alpha, while I held the she-wolf I wait for everyone to get to my room. It doesn't take long for the girls to get here than the Alpha and Luna along with the guys. When John takes in the scene a growl rips from his chest, why did that make me feel weak? Not the time dammit!

When the she-wolf spots John she immediately plays the victim, "John! Please help me. She's crazy! I came up to clean her room like I'm supposed to and she just attacked me!" She sobs. I nearly laugh because everyone knows I don't let anyone but people I am close to in my room. At least the girls knew. John however looks at me in question as does the Alpha and Josh and the other guys and the Luna. I sigh and as I go to speak the girls burst out in laughter and everyone looks at them. Rebecca apologizes and tries to get her composure. "Sorry Alpha, Luna. Its just....Lilly doesn't allow others to clean her room. She's always been that way even when we were in the vampire kingdom."

The she-wolf I was holding starts thrashing I n my arms and before anyone can react the she-wolf shifts which cause me to get bit at the same time but Ella was not having it. I shift but instead of coming after me she goes after Rebecca and I see red. There was chaos everywhere. Josh and John shift and my room ended up too small but Ella was on a mission. She tears into the she-wolf and rips out her throat. Blood going everywhere, when we step back the she-wolf was shifted back to human form naked. I shift back along with Josh and John who had bit her legs and side.

Rebecca could have used her powers but it would've been too much in just my room so she was vulnerable against a wolf so was Alex. They were full blood witches after all. I was a hybrid wolf/witch of course we were all bitten and turned into vampires as well when the vampires had attacked the witch kingdom when I was only five but once more wolves were stronger than vampires too. I feel a shirt being put on me and I look away from the dead she-wolf to see a now dressed John. He smiles softly and I swallow hard. I get the shirt on and his scent hits me. I look down to see he had put his shirt on me.

I look at Rebecca to see Josh already holding her, íhis face buried in her neck probably breathing in her scent to calm his wolf and himself down. "Are you good Becca?" I asked her voice calm even though I just killed someone for the first time. She looks at me running her fingers through Josh's hair and she nods. "I am fine, what about you?" I shrug and watch as warriors take the she-wolf away to burn her body. "I'm fine though Ella is still pissed she tried to attack you and I have to agree with her."

In that moment I feel arms wrap around me and John buries his face in my neck where his mark will be when he marks me after I turn eighteen next year. "Axel did not like how you and Ella put yourself in danger and I agree. You're injured and need the bite and claw marks cleaned." I swallow and hold back a shiver and Ella purrs in my head. "We are fine it will heal by tonight." I breath and he growls and before I know it he picks me up bridal style and walks out of my room. "HEY!" I try to get out of his arms as everyone else chuckle despite the circumstances. He grins, "You are getting the wounds cleaned and patched up. No arguments." I sigh, and I knew he meant it and so arguing would do no good. "Fine." I mumble.

An hour later I'm all cleaned and patched. John acts like I'm fragile and I'm half tempted to yell at him but I know he means well. He's alpha blood anyway which means he will be even more over protective and not to mention add the fact I'm his mate its even worse. I never pictured myself ever being pampered but sure enough that's exactly what he was doing. I did try to go and sneak off with the girls to go train only for him to stop me. It was kinda cute but annoying as well. I wouldn't mind so much if he didn't act as if I would break if I did something.

By dinner time I was healed and I showed him, he seemed relieved but still told me not to lift anything heavy and I nearly scream in frustration. I mean I had warriors blood both with and wolf in me and he thinks I will shatter if I lift something?! He better wait until he gets injured I'll be even worse just to give him a taste of his won medicine. See how he likes to be pampered and be treated like he will shatter any minute. While I was being treated this way the girls giggled and everyone just thought it was funny.

I was dying to do something anything. That night I snuck out of the pack house to let Ella go for a run. So I shifted and took off, halfway through our run I hear running we go on alert only to be tackled by a big gray wolf with white paws...Axel... Ella yips at him and I mind link John. "Really? Couldn't even let me go for a run without worrying?" It was more of a tease than annoyance yet I try to sound annoyed. He just chuckles then Alex nips at Ella playfully and me and John let our wolves have control. They run all night playing and rubbing on each other to get each other's scent on them. They even lay beside each other at the pond where John told me last night that we were mates. Truly I couldn't wait until next year and I turn eighteen. I wanted him to mark me and Ella felt the same way. Yet I wasn't sure if now was a good time since he just turned eighteen and I was only seventeen, legal yes but still.
