Chapter Seventeen: John

I was trying my best not to let Axel out and rip all the males apart that dared look at our mate. she was stunning in that blue dress, it matched her perfectly. I couldn't help but imagine ripping it off her later. Ok so maybe not ripping it off considering she obviously likes the dress. I watch her talk and laugh with the girls, now that she's eighteen she will feel the sparks. I couldn't wait for the party to end, her sweet scent was intoxicating and it didn't help my case any when she smiled at me. That girl will be the death of me one day...Axel and I both wanted to mark her and we were starting to get impatient.

When a slow song gets played I walk over and ask her to dance. Its crazy how before I found out she was my mate I didn't trust her. I had felt like her being a witch who could control all the elements when most can only use one, and the fact she was half werewolf and than lastly bitten by a vampire so therefore turned. yeah I thought she would try and start a war or something. Crazy considering she's so nice, she's sarcastic and not big on party's but she was energetic and fun with everyone especially pups. I couldn't wait for her to be carrying our pups. That thought alone made Axel howls with joy and made me want to leave this god for saken party and take her up to our room and have my way with her.

"What are you thinking about?" I here her ask as we dance. I look down at her and f**k I wanted to devour her right there. I lean in close to her ear and whisper. "You, and how I will mark you completely tonight my dear mate." Her breath catches and I couldn't help but chuckle kissing her neck where my mark will go. She shivers and I groan, she was so responsive. I hold her closer and breath in her scent, "MINE" I growl softly and feel her giggle. I pull away to look down at her and she reaches up caressing my cheek. "Your's" She whispers and dear goddess I could've lost it right there.

After dancing the girls take her away against my wishes. I won't forget how she giggled and walked away saying it would be worth it. It better be. or I might just have to punish her.. I take a glass and drink slowly. I guess my mom was helping the girls with whatever they were planning because I didn't see her. I talk with a few future Alphas and Betas about pack business and other things. After a bit I walk to much father, "Have we gotten anymore news on the war status?". He shakes his head, "No son, our Beta is on it along with a few others. Have you told your mate yet?". It was my turn to shake my head, "No and I won't, tonight is about her and not the war going on between the witches and Vampires once again." I sigh, She'd want to drop everything and run to help, to try and get a treaty between them both."

My Father nods at this, he knows I'm right, he knows what Lillyanna, Rebecca, and the others would want to do if they knew what was happening between the kingdoms. "I fear we will be dragged into this war." I tell my father to which he nods. "It is likely..." He sighs with a contemplated look. "What us it dad?" He looks at me, "She doesn't know that the Witch King and queen are dead now and a new King has been crowned. A king to which he wants war with all other people. Lillyanna has the power to save them but at what cost?" I tense at what he says knowing its true, yet not liking it.

I was just about to speak when Rebecca walks in with the other girls but no Lillyanna. I tense, where was she? The girls are smiling as they walk over and Addison speaks. "Lilly needs your assistance in yalls room dear brother." I look at them, "Is something wrong?". Rebecca smiles and laughs softly, "you'll see when you get there. I wouldn't keep her waiting if I were you." With that I walk quickly out of the ball room and up the stairs. I should've tacken the elevator but I was to much in a rush. I make it to our floor and inhale, smelling Lillyanna scent makes me calm down a bit. I open the door slowly, the room was dark only lit by candle light. I swallow and enter the room, Looking around I see her dress hanging up up and now she's changed. I stop just in the door way to the bed breath catching at the sight.
