Chapter Fifteen: John

I couldn't tell her, no I wouldn't tell her. she'd want to drop everything and go help them. I sigh running a hand through my hair as I sit in my father's office with all the guys and my father. "We're not telling Lillyanna" I growl and Alex spins to me. "What?! why not?! that was her home and mine way before getting tacken by those bloodsuckers... No offense Aurther and Henry. John you have to tell her!" "NO!" Everyone stiffens at my yell but I couldn't back down. I didn't want her hurt, yes she was a damn good fighter and badass but she was soft too.

I stand and pace back and forth, "You know how she is Alex. She's your cousin she's stubborn and always wanting to help others even if its the enemy." "She'll be pissed if you don't tell her John, she'll find out even if no one tells her. so will the other girls" He softens his tone. "Look I know how you feel I feel the same but we can't tell the girls especially Lilly what they can and can't do." I pace running my hand through my hair. I know he's right but dammit I can't stand it. 'Mate will be made' Axel growls. 'We need to tell her' I sigh and speaking out loud I say. "Fine but after her birthday...not before, after" Everyone nods and agrees and I storm out of the office to mine and Lillys room. I enter hearing the shower run and I have the urge to join her in there but remember our deal.

I swallow and sit in a chair and read a book, another week...then I will tell her... The shower stops and I stand when she exits I take a shower and join her in bed. we lay silently as if she knew I didn't want to talk just breath in her scent. I do just that...her sweet scent filling me and calming me and my wolf. She is safe...for now...I will never let anyone harm her. never..
