He left me alone for the rest of the night. I stayed awake the whole time, believing he would come in while I was sleeping. The heat stopped right when darkness chased the sunset away, probably when Hunter went to sleep and lost concentration. I relaxed when the overwhelming feeling to find Hunter and take him went away and I could control my thoughts again. Remaining upright I stayed in my perch through the night, my head trying to fall and sleep only twice.  When morning came I heard more people rushing down the stairs, singing holiday songs and laughing with each other.
