Chapter Eleven

It took an hour to reach the port where they can ride a ferry to reach the province. She just let Kaiser take care of the necessities to board the ship. She is not familiar with such things because she does not know the journey through the sea.

When the man was taken care of, the guard at the ship's entrance was lifted to prevent the vehicle from passing.

"You can get out of the car while traveling through the sea. You will be bored inside the van." Kaiser said when the van settled inside the ship.

"Really? Possible?"

"Of course. Just remember where our car is parked."

She frowned at him. "Wait! Why don't you go with me?"

"Of course! I'm just saying in case you travel alone or you will be separated from me while we are on the ship."

She never plans on traveling alone riding this kind of thing. If you need to cross the sea, she has a chopper for that.

But wait is the trip long? Why if he speaks like will it take a day to board this ship?

This is her first time riding a boat or is it a ferry? So she was not familiar. She followed Kaiser as he got out of the car. They went to the side that was part of the ship and looked away. As the ship sailed away, she watched the waves forming the ship. The waves that accentuate the color of the sea are becoming more and more white bubbles.

The wind blows her long hair freely. She immediately groped it so only with the force of the wind she could not succeed so when he noticed it next to her the man helped her and it was he who held her hair as he carried his right arm on her shoulder.

She leaned over his boyfriend. "This is awesome!"

"Hmm, yeah! That's why I love to travel by boat even if it is possible to fly to the province." Kaiser laid his head on her.

"It's so beautiful to look at the scenery, especially those islands!" he said as he pointed to the islands that the ship was passing through.

Shamia overlooks the towering mountains even though they are in the middle of the sea. "Really? Can I travel via plane? Why didn't you tell me that?"

"Ahm ... I want you to see such sights as you travel the ocean, not just the air you know how to travel."

She left on leaning on him so his head fell slightly on her shoulder. The man laughed because of that.

"Are you laughing? Do I know it is also good to travel by sea?"

"So! That experience, Ms. Sandler. "

They stayed for a while on the side of the ship before deciding to go round. The couple went to the top deck where the captain of the ship was. The two crew members even blocked their way because passengers were not allowed there.

"Mam, Sir, passengers are not allowed here!" said the crew blocking the stairs leading to the top.

"This is Miss Shamia Sandler!" Kaiser introduces her to those present. And she was not surprised that they immediately called the head crew of the said ship. Confused, the former blockers gave way.

"Perks of being in a business world e." The man whispered to her.

Sandler is well known in the business world as well as abroad.

She laughs pinching him to the side. "You're -" she could not continue the accusation against the man when the relatively old man approached.

"Good morning Miss Sandler. Sorry for the inconvenience. Ahm ... what can we do for you Mam? " she is still confused.

Shamia smiled at the old woman. "Nothing. We're just looking for the nice view so we came here but it can't be so don't worry guys we'll just go down."

"Oh no Mam, it's okay! You can roam around."

"Okay, thank you." She said dismissing the conversation.

Kaiser took all her wishes and sometimes they even took pictures together.

When they returned to the van to rest, Kaiser still couldn't stop laughing because of what had happened earlier. Until the tour, because they were followed by a crew to do their bidding. Shee said to the head of the crew that it was okay not to but it was just naughty so they just let it go. They just made Kaiser a photographer for the crew.

"Are we going to land babe soon?" she asked as she sat in the backseat of the van. The man sat in the driver's seat.

He glanced at his watch and then answered. "Maybe we reach the port of Marinduque in an hour. Why? Are you bored?"

Kaiser Pineda is from the province of Marinduque. He said that his father is from here and his mother is from the city. And they decided to settle in the province because provincial life is better than Manila.

When he said that his mother was from the city, she remembered Ysabella's speculation about Kaiser's mother. But she just ignored it, she will recognize it when they arrive.

But when she told him her opinion that it is more convenient in Manila, he was just smitten in the grass at the same time saying that he could only say that the girl was a city girl and rich. She didn't even argue anymore because he might be right.

They grew up differently, so maybe they also have different opinions on life. But that will not be a barrier for them. That's what she makes sure of!

IT WAS noon when they got off the boat and her boyfriend continued driving. Shamia offered to the man that she would drive but he refused, saying that she did not know the road and going around, but she immediately excused herself to just show her the road but he just didn't agree with her.

"Let's go to the restaurant first, maybe you're hungry, Shamia?"

Kaiser later spoke to his girlfriend. Shamia just looked at it and looked around again, because she did not see any restaurants along the way. And another one came to her who was nervous thinking that they were already in the province and any minute now she would meet her family Kaiser. Not only his family but also his relatives.

"I'm okay! I'm not hungry yet. You?" They ate earlier while touring on the ship, they saw a grocery store inside the ship so they bought for the two of them as well.

Kaiser glanced at her for a moment then turned his eyes back to the road. "I am not hungry. We will just eat at home when we arrive, they will have something ready mom."

He faced it with a recollection. "When was the last time you came home, Kai?"

"Ahm ..." he thought before answering. "A years ago?"

Does that mean he went home before accepting the job?

"It's been a long time! Does it mean when you accept your job with the Octagon Devils you will not go home?"

"Yeah! How can I get home if those crazy people walk with me every time? Did they lose their way? Isn't it?"

"I do not know if they lost their way. I never knew that before!"

The man reached for her hair and jokingly pulled it so she couldn't help but laugh.

"You asked me if I was aware of them?" he's still laughing at her answer and walks away because he'll pull her hair again.

"Why didn't you go home then? Can you say goodbye for a moment? Don't you miss your parents?"

"It's okay with them. And then I also resigned." His voice weakened somewhat at the last word.

"Why did you resign on the army, by the way?"

"Ah, something happened so I was forced, but I also regret it immediately."

He did not speak so she did not even inquire. He will tell her what's the matter when he is ready. For now, she needs to focus on what will happen when they arrive at the Pinedas' home.

"Babe, we're here!" Shamia was still awake when she woke up.

She has been asleep since their trip was quiet.

"Huh?" It did not immediately enter her mind where she was, they. So she closed her eyes for a moment and then she remembered that they were in the van, and it was now parked in a wooden house. The walls of the house are made of plywood and there are three tiers of stairs to climb the serving terrace towards the living room.

It was a spectacular view from the outside so it was obvious that people were waiting for their arrival.

"Come on, Love! They are excited to meet you." She is thrilled every time he calls her 'Love'. It's very sweet!

Shamia was attacked with trepidation when Kaiser got off and opened the door of the van where she was. She heard calls and voices coming from the house.

"Dad, Kuya is here!"

"Where is your Dad? Yes! I also told you not to leave first and your older brother will come."

"Oh, Mom, it might be in the shower! It's afternoon!"

The points of their speeches are amusing. But that did not lessen the nervousness that had been plaguing his chest.

Although she's nervous, she got out of the van due to the sudden silence of a happy family. They were all looking at their young manners. She clung so tightly to Kaiser that made him laugh.

She pinched him on the side. "Don't you dare laugh at me, Pineda!"

That only made him laugh even more because of her threats. She is already nervous but the man is still laughing at her.

"Is that boy gone?" she listened to Kaiser's father's promise. It is getting closer to their behavior. They even took the equipment in the back of the van. Kaiser's second brother also approached with the youngest sister.

"Sham!" Kaiser's sister approaches her.

"Hello, Kobe! Hi Kharis! " she greeted back.

The woman immediately clung to her arm. She is tall at the age of 15 and Kobe is almost as tall as their older brother Kaiser at the age of 20.

"You are beautiful, sister, especially in person," Kharis added.

"That will only be asked for in return."

"Don't worry, we have a meeting for you!" smiling, he replied.

Kaiser is already busy carrying their belongings to the house.

"Come on! Don't go outside, it's still hot even in the afternoon!" call them mother Pineda.

"Mom is KJ! That sister is just excited to see you! She's cleaning yesterday and earlier." Brothers Kobe and Kharis teased their mother as they clung to her.

The two were still teasing their mother even though they were sitting on a bamboo chair in the living room.

Their father, on the other hand, said goodbye for a while to take care of their pets.

"Babe? Are you okay with those two? " Kaiser asked her as he exited the room near the living room. "You have to be patient with those, they are really ugly! Especially Kharis."

"Brother we missed you! If we don't just miss hmm ... we do!"

"Do you miss me? You are lying!" Kaiser was still teasing his youngest sibling.

It's fun to watch them. Even when she and her older brother rarely spoke or bonded. They are close but not super close. Unlike Kaiser, you can see the closeness of the siblings.

"Kobe went to my father and told me something to say, you will feed the pig on the chin! You ugly woman, you cook in the kitchen. " The man commanded his brother and sister. "Mom! I have something to say!"

Kaiser's mother peered through the kitchen door. "Why? It took me a while and I cooked, maybe Shamia is hungry."

"It's easy to own e ... Mom hurry up and Dad is here!" Kaiser said as he watched his father go up the bamboo stairs in the kitchen.

It was fun to hear Kaiser's point of view, even his family. He did not expect that the simple point of language when they were in the province adds to Kaiser's elegance and personality.

"Oh? Why are you staring babe?" he noticed Shamia's stare.

"I just find you adorable and cute with your language here in your province."

The man was about to speak when his father arrived and sat down next to his wife.

"What do you say Kai?" mother asked.

"Mom, Dad ...Shamia Sandler is my girlfriend!" Shamia's nervousness that previously disappeared in her chest suddenly returned. She did not expect that the man would formally introduce her to his parents. "Babe this is Mother Belinda and Father Karlito."

Even though she was eaten by Twitter, she was still able to smile at those in front. "Hello to you! Mom, Sir! " that's what she said because she didn't know what to call her boyfriend's parents.

Kaiser laughed because of what Shamia’s called for her parents. She also heard Kharis giggling in the kitchen and Kobe peeking out the door from the room.
