Chapter Six

Shamia Gyllette woke up to a loud knock on her bedroom door. She fell asleep because she was crying so much. She was very affected by what she had heard before, she was very upset by what she heard as if she was his girlfriend who she caught cheating. sHe is very affected but even then she has to hide her feelings because at any time they can reveal how she feels.

Slowly Shamia got up, her eyes hit the clock on the side table. It's nine o'clock in the evening. Her forehead furrowed when she realized it was night but why was someone still knocking on her door.

She opened the door. "What? Don't you think that bothers me ---?"

She could not continue what she was about to say because of what she had encountered. Kaiser, holding a food tray.

"I've been knocking before, I've already bought two meals because it's getting cold." He explains.

She could not look at the young man because she remembered what she had heard while he's talking on the phone. "I do not want to eat."

She was about to close the door when he blocked his left foot because and it was stuck in the door. Shamia was sure it was painful but she did not see the man in pain.

"You have to eat Sham because since you entered the room earlier, you have never come out again. So I thought you hadn't eaten yet. " Kaiser explained while she finally entered the room even though she had not told him yet.

It was difficult for her to ignore the man. She's kind to all of her staff but why is it so much when it comes to this man. She could not moan when it was he who ordered her, unlike others who did not listen to suggestions.

He arranged the food then pulled her to sit on the side of the bed.

"Eat Ms. Sandler, don't be stubborn."

She stared at him. "Get out! I will eat when you come out."

He just laughed out loud. "I don't believe in you. You will not eat when I leave you. I will guard you!" He finally said that it was as if it was the end of the discussion.

"I will eat. Get out! Go to sleep and it's already midnight!"

"It's midnight so eat so you can rest as well."

She'll never argue with this man again. Annoying! She couldn't utter a word at the man. Kaiser stared at her intently as she ate. She glanced at the man while eating.

He must have noticed that so the man laughed. "Don't worry I won't join you." He said, "But if you will ---"

Shamia frowned. She just goes through the frown and insults, she feels nervous.

She was in the middle of eating when her cell phone rang on the bed.

The person she trusts calls from a Los Angeles-based company. What could be the problem?

He immediately answered it, which make the man frown. "You're not done eating yet."

Shamia placed her index finger on the opposite side of her lip signaling him to be quiet. He immediately got what she meant.

"Hello?"

"Good evening there, Madam! I'm sorry to disturb your sleep but I need to ask for your presence at the meeting." The other line said.

Why is the meeting so sudden? She did not remember that she set up a meeting. There is only a sudden meeting when the company faces a problem.

"What's the problem?" Her forehead frowned at the news.

"It's better if you attend the meeting Madam. Because I don't think it will be resolved without your presence."

"Did you already set an appointment?"

"When you arrive I'll set the meeting immediately, Madam."

Is it that big of a problem to need her presence there? Previously, she only spoke on Skype when there are only simple meetings took place.

"Okay! I'll be there." Shamia ended the conversation and hung up the phone.

She quickly got up from the bed and packed some things to take with her. While doing so she initially dialed Pia's number and pinned the phone between her shoulder and head so she could talk to her secretary while packing.

"Tell my pilot to ready the plane. You should get ready too, we're flying to Los Angeles right now!" She said when her secretary answered the call. She did not give it a chance to speak and directly stated the purpose. A simple 'Okay' she heard the woman answer then the call ended.

Shamia was stunned to remember that she was not alone in the room.

"Where are you going?" It's a surprising question.

She scratches her side of her head. Of course, he should also be included. She would have said that the man would be ready when she remembered what she had heard. He promised the interlocutor to go home when the opportunity arose, perhaps this was the right time he was waiting for.

"There is an emergency in the LA Company. I need to be there."

"Then I should be ready too!" Kaiser said then hurried to get up but Shamia stopped him.

"No! You're not coming. Take this opportunity to get home and take a vacation."

"I am your bodyguard." The man said that it was as if she already knew what it meant.

She did nothing but nod. He quickly gets the tray and then hurried out.

Shamia just sighed. She's allowing him to take a vacation but he's not grabbing it.

Does he not want to see and be with his girlfriend? Or maybe his wife.

She tends to t*****e herself mentally in various ways. But his information did not indicate that he was married.

Ahh! Maybe a girlfriend. Shamia shook her head. Until she just thought first because she did not dare to ask him.

AFTER fifteen hours they landed in Los Angeles. Shamia called her assistant based there to set up the meeting immediately. She said the time appointed for the meeting was at nine o'clock so that she could somehow rest.

She has a house in this place for such emergencies, she has a place to stay. She's not as big as the Villa she has in the Philippines but this place is in a village with tight security.

"Find your room guys!" she said to the two companions.

Pia already knows where her room is because she always accompanies her when she has a meeting in another country like this. It's up to her to take Kaiser to his room.

Shamia was very tired from the trip. No matter how many times she travels far, she still does not get used to it.

"Good Night, everyone." The girl then went up to the second floor of the mansion to rest.

Shamia did not even pay attention to the 'good night' comrades 'answers because her eyelids were falling off.

She did not fall asleep last night because, after the call, they left immediately. On the plane, she also can't sleep well. She's afraid of height. But only her parents and brother know as well as her secretary.

When she entered her room, she immediately went to bed and lay down. She was so drowsy that she could not even change her clothes. She was already drowsy.

She felt that she had only been asleep for a few hours when someone dared to almost knock down the door of her room with a loud knock.

The f**k! She got up angrily and walked towards the door. She was like a zombie walking and still closed her eyes when she opened the door but still did not forget the annoyance due to the knock.

"WHAT!?" She shouted in front of the door. She couldn't quite see who it was because her eyes were still a bit blurred due to the sudden awakening.

"Oh easy ... Just wanna remind you the meeting at Nine, Ms.Sandler."

She was startled when Kaiser realized she was outside the door. What do I look like? Oops! Oops!

"I - am ... what - okay!"

Shamia can't look straight into his eyes because she knows for sure that his eyes are dancing in amusement because of her stuttering.

"You must be very tired from the trip." Attention it. "By the way, Sham is already 8:30." He then quickly turned away.

She hurried back to bed and looked at the clock on the bedside table. And damn it! She only has 30 minutes to prepare for the meeting.

She hurried to fix herself. She no longer has time for food because she's late. Even though she is the Boss, it is embarrassing that she's late. Maybe what else can they say?

Fortunately, her bodyguard was also alert and the vehicle was ready immediately. Pia, who was in the driver's seat. This is probably what she decided to drive. Kaiser opened the backseat for her and then placed him in the front seat next to her secretary.

"Please hurry Pia!" She reminded the woman because the trip to the company was 30 minutes.

The girl was busy checking emails on her cell phone when a sandwich appeared in front of her. She followed where it came from and she saw Kaiser smiling and handing out the food.

"I beg you to do it to Ms. Pia while you are getting dressed and I am preparing the car." He explains. "I know you won't eat in a hurry."

The girl looked at the driver's seat. The secretary also smiled at her then she nodded as if showing approval to the man. Shamia took the sandwich given to her by the man and opened it. She ate while traveling.

She did not think too much about the meeting because no matter what she does, she would still come to the company late. Being late for once won't hurt anyone though.

All the board members were already there when she arrived. They have been waiting for a while.

Azzi, her assistant, quickly stood up when she saw her and her secretary enter the conference room. Kaiser stayed outside. "Sorry, we're late."

"It's okay Madam." The woman said and guided her to the capital at the long table, Pia sat at her right.

"Shall we start?" Shamia said immediately focusing on the papers that were laid out in front of her.

As soon as she read the document, she knew immediately that there was something wrong with the financial report. Is the company missing 100 million pesos? The f**k!!

"What is the meaning of this? Where did those million pesos go?" She immediately sighed. Her blood heats up because of what she read in the documents.

"We're still investigating the problem, Mam. But we concluded that it was an inside job because no one outside the company can do this."

"Who did this?"

She had a concussion because of a problem. Throughout her tenure with the company, it was only now that there was a traitor.

 "Damn it! Aren't you doing your job here?" Shamia's voice could not be stopped.

Everyone was shocked by her swearing. She doesn't care if everyone was looking at her because she cusses. She could no longer control herself because of anger.

Who did this shamelessly? She does not remember that she fought in the business industry. Even her fierce opponent in the Magazine Industry is not like that when it comes to fighting.

"What? You all just stare at me! If staring is the solution to our problem then feel free." She sighed at them again. They immediately looked down and read the report and then made their suggestions.

She listens attentively to the discussion of the entire board. They are also thinking of their solution. The lost money will not affect her company. But that's still a huge amount and needs to be resolved. And one more thing to know who is plotting it because otherwise, it might hurt the company next time.
