Chapter Fourteen

2273 Words
It's already four days since Shamia and Kaiser went on vacation. And she noticed something on Kaiser's action. On their first day, they took his siblings to school, and then they went for a walk afterward. But in the days that followed, the man left early and returned home at night. The boy's parents said that it was important to take care of him. Even his siblings say the same thing. She asks him what the matter is so that she will know if she can help but she doesn't say. So she, if not only at home, the girl goes for a walk alone in the hacienda and sometimes in the paddy field or maybe she will take the siblings to school so that she can have some fun because her good boyfriend leaves her to do something she doesn't know. Sometimes she is irritated but she still tries to understand it because she loves the man and she will understand him as much as she can. This night is one of those days and nights when the man comes home. Again he entered the room she was occupying where she was with his sister. Kaiser approached her and gently pulled out a few strands of hair that covered her face. And like previous nights, he kissed her on the forehead, on the top of her nose and his kiss lasted on her lips. "I love you." He murmured then went out of the room. The whole thought of it was that she did not know of its sneaky entry into the room. She pretends to be asleep every time Kaiser does that and when he comes out only then she opens her eyes and wonder where it is coming from. But this night Shamia decided to confront her boyfriend. She slowly got up from the bed, but before she could completely leave the room she heard voices talking. It's Kaiser and his parents in the living room. The girl decided to just wait for the conversation to end but she couldn't stop listening especially when the girl heard her name. "When are you going to tell Shamia this?" "I don't know 'Mom, I can't find time to tell her." How can you tell if you always not home? "Oh, it's a difficult matter for you to do, Kaiser. You better say that until the one who will come - "  "Dad. I know what I'm doing. I just can't find the time yet. Let me tell you, that's why I'm scared too." "It's the better son, you say it tomorrow! Fear will not solve your problem. Maybe Shamia and others will know that it's even scarier." Shamia never heard Kaiser answer until his parents said goodbye to go to sleep. She did not even dare to talk to him. What was on her mind at those times was what were these problems saying? The girl went back to bed and then forced herself to sleep even though what she heard was overwhelming her brain. But at dawn drowsiness visited her. Shamia woke up the next day feeling heavy. It was as if something heavy had hit her body. She thought it might be Kharis sleeping next to her, but lately, it wasn't like that and the woman didn't hug her. She tried to open her eyes to see who the culprit was and it's none other than Kaiser Pineda, himself. What was the man doing there? She then looked at the clock opposite the door of the room. 11:30? On the other hand, it seems that the man did not leave and he even managed to put her next to the bed. She was about to get up when the man's arms tightened around her waist. "Good morning baby."  "Good morning. You don't have a walk today?" "Nothing. I want to stay here with you." "You didn't wake me up, it's embarrassing for Mom and Dad! And then I didn't take those two to school." Shamia said while trying to get out of the man's tight hug even though the truth is that she misses his hugs and caresses. "I'll deliver them and then I'll come back right away so you can sleep next to me," Kaiser said that she has no intention of releasing her. "I miss you!" "I miss you too, Babe!" he replied and hugged his girlfriend as well. "I have something to tell you, I hope so -" What it would have said was cut off when her cell phone rang on the table next to the bed. "Wait, baby! Maybe it's important, I'll just answer!" She hurriedly got off the bed and picked up the phone then answered it when she saw her secretary calling. "Yes?" "Mam? Haven't you come home yet? You have a lot of work to do." "What do you want?" Just call to remind the job the moment she ran away. "Just a joke, Mom. Just want to inform you that the publishing of new magazines is near and it needs your full attention and you have some signatures for production." The girl sighed. Of course! She almost forgot that. "Okay! We're going home next week so I can take care of that. Though, you are there." "Yes. But I need your signature." "Okay, okay." "Bye. Enjoy!" She could no longer say goodbye to the person she was talking to because the man pulled her towards the bed again and now she is on his lap. "What?" "Publishing, soon." Kaiser sighed then kissed her on the neck. She immediately avoided it because she felt a tickle but the man was naughty and chased. "We're alone here babe. No other!" His voice is seductive. Fascinating. "And?" "Maybe?" "Crazy! It's not allowed yet." Kaiser was like a child grumbling and lying on the bed and then rolling around. And because she's in his arms, she got hurt. They almost fell on the bamboo floor. "But why?" Shamia laughed at the look of her boyfriend. Like a child who has not been indulged in desire. "Red days." "It's your last day, isn't it?" She nodded. "Tomorrow then." It's not even a question. The couple remained in bed until noon and decided to cook lunch. The same goes for Kaiser's two siblings or maybe they buy at the canteen. So the two of them are alone in the house. Occasionally she could hear the noise of passing vehicles because vehicles were entering the hacienda. The owner's management is too loose. "Babe? Can cars get in here?" "Yes! That's okay with the owner as long as he doesn't pass in front of the rest house and then there's nothing to lose here in the hacienda because there is staff on guard." If she were the one owning this place she'll going to make this place private. And the rest house, it's a bungalow type that can be renovated and put on the second floor so you can see the views around. The hacienda consists of paddy fields, mango, and coconut plantations. There are also corn crops. There are indeed many products of this place but the owner is very generous with everything. And I don't think that the maiden will lose whoever took or stole the crops, especially the people who are not from the hacienda. "What's running through your mind, my love?" Kaiser later commented noticing her silence. "Is that business again?" While she was mixing the vegetables she was cooking, the man went behind her and then hugged her and placed his chin on her left shoulder. She smiled staring at her boyfriend and did not bother to answer his question. After they cooked, they ate happily and then just stayed at home and wasted time flirting and teasing. SATURDAY. Shamia and Kharis thought of taking a walk outside the hacienda. There are small markets and shops outside the hacienda so she had fun looking around for tools and decorations. There are also souvenirs. Shamia was shopping alone because Kharis saw an acquaintance and briefly informed her that she was going to the other side of the market for a while. The girl is busy looking for souvenirs for her Mommy when someone touches her from behind. Standing there is a woman with a child she's holding in her right hand. The woman is not very tall, in fact, she can only hear it and she's a brunette girl. "Yes?" She approaches her nicely even though one of her eyebrows is raised at him as if at any moment she will be grabbed. "Can you talk?" "Sure. Where?" "Follow me." The woman then turned her back on her. Wow, attitude! They reached a secluded area. Not far from the market. "Why do you want to talk to me?" "I want to talk to you about Kaiser." Her voice was loud but she just ignored it. "What about him?" "Kaiser is mine and I have more rights to him because we have a child." Twitter hit Shamia's chest. Is this the problem they talking about last time? "And?" Though nervous, she was still able to inquire. "And one more thing, he doesn't love you! When he leaves us he comes to be with us. You don't notice? I thought you were smart? Aren't you rich? They say the rich are smart, it seems like you are not." She could not speak because of the revelation she found out. But she did not waver because she trusted the man she loved. "Why are you telling me this?" "You do not know? It's as if you've left and it's as if our son and I no longer share his attention. He doesn't have to go home at night because he's staying with us. " And as someone seemed to remember it went on. "Ah! That's why he hasn't left you yet, he hasn't gotten your money and wealth. Gosh! You're so slow! " she said with a loud voice. "Or maybe you're just rich because of your parents and you didn't finish anything?" That was an insult for her. "Why are you asking? For you to insult me again? " Shamia retaliated even though she wanted to get lost. Her mind was not working because of what she heard from the woman in front of her. Her tears flowed spontaneously, which she had been holding back. Angry. Hate. It hurts. And love, what she simultaneously feels for the man. Only now has she experienced such pain out of love. It wasn't like this when she first experienced love. They happily separated then, they happily ended their previous relationships. But now? She does not know. And what she heard from the man then seemed tempting to flashback to Shamia. "Yes, sweetie. Yes! I'm going home too. Huh? Not today, but don't worry if I have the chance I'll go home right away. " "All right! Bye, I love you, Yes, I promise!" That's it! Why didn't she immediately think that she had a family when she first heard the words he uttered before. "Now, maybe you won't be close to the Pineda family anymore? I'm the one telling you because they are ashamed to say." "S-stop!" Shamia's voice growled as she stopped what the woman was saying. She can't take this anymore. He could no longer hear them. "S-stop!" Shamia did not know how she came home alone. All she wants now is to get away. Leave. She wants to go home, where she can breathe, where she can express what she feels. At least among them, some people care about her, and some people like her despite her attitude. When he arrived at the Pineda family's house, she quickly packed her things, grabbed the key of the van, and then drove away from the home she had once crammed into, away from the hacienda, away from the person she loved, the person she thought was her! When Shamia reached the highway, she immediately pulled the van to make it go faster. While driving there were unceasing tears in his eyes which caused her not to see the road very well. Shamia contacted her secretary while driving. "Hello, Mam?" When she heard her voice she couldn't stop sobbing. Finally, she could talk to someone she cared about her. "Shamia? Hello?" "P-pia," She immediately heard the panic in her voice. "Are you crying? What happened? Are you okay?" She could not answer because every time she opened her lips to speak her sobs came out. "Mam? I'll get the chopper ready! I'm going there right now. I will pick you up-" Shamia didn't hear what else Pia was saying because she was blank when she saw the truck going to hit her. My way! The car was still swaying and even if she dodged, she would not be able to reach it. The truck hit her! And the car with Shamia crashed into a ravine. She did not know how many seconds, minutes, or hours she had been lying on the ground, waiting for help. She could see the beautiful blue sky with tiny white clouds. There are birds happily flying in the sky. I hope so too! Hopefully, I can still find the pleasure of being like birds flying freely. Tears welled up in her eyes again. I am tired! I want to rest! She wanted to close her eyes and wait for someone to come. But before she closes her eyes, she saw a chopper coming. She smiled when she saw the mark on the tail side of the aircraft. SM. Maybe now! I can take a rest.
