Chapter 11 Mason Cares

Eva's POV.

I fell on my butt, totally shocked by the sudden turn of events. I could hardly move my body or bat an eyelid.

My eyes were just fixated on the bursted shelf and the shattered window, never in my life have I exhibited such powers before.

I shifted only twice since I had gotten my wolf and it had been painful and difficult to even catch a feed or hurt a fly but right now it was different.

It felt like something had awakened in me. It was dead and unseen but I could feel it now.

What was this strange feeling?.

"What…have I…done?" I stuttered as tears trickled down my cheeks. I raised up my hands and stared at them.

These hands hardly defended me from those evil people, or hardly helped even when I tried fighting back, then what altered?.

I recalled the reflection of my shining eyes and it made me quiver in fear of what I had become or the strange force that overwhelmed me.

I touched my wet eyes and more tears rolled down my cheeks.

I didn't understand anything, it seemed like a nightmare that I wanted to wake up from. Many thoughts ran through my mind.

What really happened and why did my eyes shine so bright?.

Have I been influenced by some alien or infected by a deadly but powerful virus?. I wrapped my hands around myself and cried heavily.

"Oh goodness" I cried and my anxiety worsened when I gazed at the window again.

Alpha Seth!.

I swallowed hard and sprang up to my feet. With my legs acting wobbly, I walked to the shattered window and I looked down to see the guards around Alpha Seth.

The blood I sighted made me gasp in horror.

"I killed him" I sobbed.

It wasn't me, I would never harm anybody. How do I explain to Alpha Trent and the rest of the pack that my actions were unintentionally and probably controlled by something.

I was about to run back when the door opened and it was Alpha Trent's father.

"What are you doing here?" He yelled and pointed his index finger at me.

I shook my head in desperation.“it wasn't me, I swear that I didn't mean to push him”

I watched his eyes widen in horror, he didn't actually know it was me.

"You pushed Alpha Seth!" He shouted and walked to me.

I shivered greatly with each step he took closer to me.

"I swear to the moon goddess that I can't really comprehend what happened, believe me that it wasn't deliberate" I pleaded in tears.

He suddenly grabbed my arms and shook me aggressively.

"I always had a bad feeling about you from the very first day, I laid my eyes on you; I thought it was simply my intuition but I was wrong” He spat angrily.

His eyes had darkened and his red veins were extremely visible through his skin.

"You are nothing but bad news!"

"I know you hate me but I didn't mean to push him. It wasn't my fault, it was only in self defense;Hear me out first–"

My words were cut short as a stinging and hard slap landed on the side of my face, instantly making my lips burst.

"Aahh" I cried out in pain,holding my cheek.

"Eva!" I heard and a pair of large hands that soothed my body, touched me.

Alpha Trent tugged away the messy strands of hair on my face and my eyes caught the shocked expression on his face when he saw my bleeding lips.

He turned to his father with angry eyes. I had never seen him this angry before.

"What did you do to her?!" Alpha Trent yelled in anger.

I sobbed and buried my face in Alpha Trent's chest.

"She pushed Alpha Seth, can't you see?" His father yelled.

I heard gasps of shock from Alpha Trent and it made me cry harder.

"She must have done this spitefully because he demanded her to be an escort, this girl is bad news!"

"Father, that's enough!"

Their argument began fading in my ears and my eyes became too heavy with tears…

"Eva"

"Baby"

My eyes shut and I was pulled into utter darkness.

My eyes slowly opened and my blurry vision was of the white ceiling.

I squinted and blinked before my vision became lucid. I turned to my sides and I was in my room.

"Haa…" I moaned weakly and struggled to sit up.

I had never felt this weak before but I was completely worn out. I touched the side of my lips and the wound had healed.

The events made my eyes well up with tears again. I was more worried about my reaction than Alpha Seth.

It was like a destructive power and the worst part, I suspect it was responsible for my weakness.

"Eva" I heard and looked at the direction of the door.

Alpha Trent sauntered to me and sat beside me.

"How do you feel?" Alpha Trent asked and placed his hand on my cheek.

"it wasn't my fault, it wasn't my intention to injure him" I sobbed, ignoring his question.

"What really occurred?"

"He…he touched me" I cried with trembling lips.

"He did what!" Alpha Seth exclaimed. There was a swift and immediate change in his countenance and the color of his eyes.

"No, don't do anything!" I quickly wrapped my hands around him.

There would be a great war, if Alpha Trent did anything to that r****t. I would love for Alpha Seth to be taught a lesson but not at the expense of people's life.

"I will kill him"

"You will do no such thing;please for me" I whispered while holding him tightly. I caressed him gently on the back and snuggled a bit.

"Please"

I heard his heartbeat slowing down, he was controlling himself.

"Where did he touch you?" He pulled me away and questioned.

I was definitely planning on lying because those details may arouse a tragedy.

"He didn't… I pushed him before he could touch me anyhow" I replied and he pulled me into a hug.

"You should have aimed more deadlier!" Alpha Trent spouted in anger.

"Is he fine?" I asked while inhaling his scent.

"That shouldn't be any of our business, he is leaving this pack ; first thing tomorrow morning" Alpha Trent uttered and held me tightly.

Really tight.

"I'm sorry for not protecting you" He apologized calmly and pecked the nape of my back.

I hated it when he blamed himself over things that weren't his fault, he didn't have to protect me. I had to learn how to protect myself.

"Don't blame yourself, you have nothing to apologize for" I raised up my head and kissed his chin.

"I still blame myself for it and I apologize on my father's behalf for his actions" He apologized again and lowered his gaze.

He was an Alpha and apologizing to me, felt wrong. Alpha Seth and his father owed me an apology not him.

"Stop apologizing" I muttered and held his face.

I kissed his lips and later during our conversations, I explained to him what transpired and he was clueless as I was.

"I'm scared"

"You have nothing to fear, we will find a solution" He assured me and kissed my lips gently.

Yolanda brought me breakfast in bed.

"Yolanda" I smiled at her.

"Hi pumpkin" Yolanda called me funnily and placed the tray on my bed. “I'm sure that's what Alpha Trent calls you”

"No" I shook my head.

“He calls me…baby "I said shyly and Yolanda squealed like a little girl.

I shook my head and laughed heartily.

"That's such a cute name, it befits you" Yolanda smiled.

I agreed with her and opened the plates and the food looked delicious.

"Yummy"

I began eating but Yolanda stood, staring weirdly at me till I finished my meal.

"Yolanda" I called and she flinched. “Are you alright?”

“I have some…thing… to tell you "Yolanda stuttered. The Yolanda I knew, never stuttered.

I positioned myself for listening and she was shaking a bit.

“I heard of what happened between you and Alpha Seth and when I went to clean his room this morning, I overheard his conversation with someone "She said in a low voice.

"Conversation with who?" I questioned, curious about his activities.

"I think he was talking to one Alpha Li…"
