Chapter 13 Can We Be Frie...

Eva's POV.

I struggled to escape as far as I could. I was limping at first but slowly I felt my wounds healing.

I refused to look back as I kept running deeper and deeper into the forest. I looked around the forest and I had no idea where I was.

It was an unfamiliar area and it confused me greatly because the trees were of the same height and there was hardly any difference in the areas as I ran.

Where I was running to that I couldn't tell but I had to run away from them, all of them.

I raced barefooted, the cracks of the dry leaves could be heard under my feet and the sharp stones that cut through my flesh but I wasn't bothered about it.

My only concern was to escape and maybe have Alpha Trent find me through my scent. My eyes were becoming sore red as the cold breeze penetrated into them but my determination kept me going.

My determination to stay alive and be with Alpha Trent forever. I was to be with him for the rest of my life and no one would put a stop to it. Liam was no exception.

I didn't understand what he wanted from me or why he kept trying to get me back but I didn't care. I wasn't going to stay with the son of the man who murdered my family and the person who tortured me almost my entire life.

He had always known me to be his mate but he kept quiet about it. He allowed me to suffer so much and he didn't care or show any compassion. Not even his wolf had any attachment to me.

He allowed his family to torment me;he rejected me without a second thought then why was he after me again?.

Did he miss torturing me?.

He might not have a replacement that he torments like he did me, maybe that was why he kept fighting so much to get me back. He must be daydreaming if he thought that I would return with him willingly.

"Haaa" I gasped, trying to fight back the tiredness in my legs. They were getting heavier as I ran but I had to continue at this pace to elude getting caught.

'Oh moon goddess help me, let Alpha Trent find me soon; I can't continue' I cried inwardly and my foot hit a stone.

"Aah!" I whimpered but tightened my lips together.

I fell to the ground and my body instantly weakened. Hot tears rolled out of my eyes, it was difficult to catch my breath.

I was willing to stand but my body wasn't heeding, my eyes were the only part of my body which moved.

'Alpha Trent, please find me' I sobbed.

My body had given up on me, it was reluctant, maybe I wasn't willing to go any longer, it was like I had lost my purpose to keep fighting and battling for my life.

Life was becoming too unfair towards me, I lost my family at a young age and more than a decade of my life was filled with sorrow and misery.

And just when I found happiness and joy, life had to snatch me away with it.

Alpha Trent was my happiness, joy and entire life. My life revolved around him.

It was because of him, I found a mother in Hannah and friendship in Beta Kyle and Yolanda who make each day of my life exciting and filled with fun.

I could do nothing without Alpha Trent in my life;he was my solid and firm foundation, my shield.

I remembered our beautiful and wonderful moments together and it strengthened me to continue my journey. I had to seek help and find Alpha Trent.

I had to see that beautiful smile on his gorgeous and tasty lips. I wanted him to make me moan his name like never before.

Recalling how he sucked me so erotically and rubbed his palms on my breasts and body caused me to moan in ecstacy.

I needed him.

I exhaled sharply and it seemed like my body received energy to keep going. I painfully stood up and started walking.

I walked but later ran. I ran as fast as my legs could me. I never paused to breathe or relax till I heard something like a stream.

My mouth and throat felt dry. Taking a little break to drink some water would do me good.

I followed the sound and I reached a stream. I smiled and rushed to the spot.

I cupped my hands and dipped into the water, scooping it into my mouth. I dipped my face into the water and drank from it;it was satisfying.

The water was cool and refreshing but I couldn't stall any longer. I had to leave.

I ran forward but slowly the sky began to darken and the chirping of birds and little animal sounds reduced. I knew it was becoming late and I had to perch somewhere for the night.

My stomach rumbled with hunger but I ignored it and pressed forward. I saw a cave and decided to enter; regardless of the fact that I didn't know what or who was inside.

My body had grown too weak to continue. I sighed and crawled into the cave.

I stayed at the edge of the cave and laid back on a rock.my eyes slowly closed but I was still alert. Alert for any voice or sound that could be a potential danger.

I really needed Alpha Trent, I had to see him and kiss him again. Our story shouldn't end this way, this was the beginning.

The beginning of our love story.

"it can't end this way; I need you to find me, my love…find me" I whimpered softly. My eyes were closed but tears were trickling out of it.

"Find me, find me please" I muttered, dozing off.

The sunray hit my eyes and I squinted.

I widened my eyes and I yawned loudly. The forest looked brighter and it aided my movement. I continued walking, unaware of the area I was in.

I wasn't aware if I was at the border of another pack or Black moon pack. I walked to a particular point and found a river.

This was a blessing in disguise but as I walked closer to the water, I heard some footsteps and also voices.

With my werewolf senses, I heard every bit of their conversation.

"I can smell her around here" I heard and my body froze.

"Such an amateur, she thinks that she could escape us"

"You better stop talking and let us find her before the Alpha wastes us".

Tears welled up in my eyes as I heard their voices. They eventually found me but they won't catch me easily.

Their footsteps got closer and I had an idea. I walked through another path in order to divert them and I covered my trail coming back.

I stared at the water and my eyes darkened. I walked to the water and entered it.

I swam to a point where I dipped my head completely under the water. I heard their chattering getting closer but I held my breath.

"I could have sworn that she was here"

Some fishes were swimming around me but then something much bigger moved past me in the water but I didn't budge. I only got a glimpse of it.

It passed again and I saw the clear view of an anaconda; I had never seen such a large snake in my life.

It was swirling around me but I didn't move or blink, I even slowed down my heart rate. It would be dangerous if I moved or tried escaping.

This thing could strangulate me to death.

It swam around me and I saw its yellow eyes, I finally realized something.

I was actually breathing and not holding my breath, it was shocking but I could breathe underwater.

Was this part of the strange powers?.

The anaconda's flesh touched my skin but I didn't flinch or move a muscle. After a while, it swam away from me.

I waited for a while till the water was serene and quiet. I gasped and thrusted my head out of the water.

"Ha" I finally inhaled some oxygen. I was curious about what transpired a few minutes ago but there was no time to give it much thought.

I swam out of the water and they were gone. I walked for a while but began running and looking back.

I suddenly bumped into something hard. It caused my head to ache because of the collision.

I raised up my gaze and my eyes met with a set of honey brown eyes.

"Surprised to see me beautiful" Alpha Seth chuckled.

I gasped in tears and attempted running but he held me back and slammed his lips against mine.

He clenched my chin hard.

"Now we will have fun, beautiful" He laughed, sinisterly.
