Chapter 9 Teaching Manners

Alpha Trent's POV.

My fists balled when I heard the request of Alpha Seth, had he gone insane?.

How dare he try to request such profanity from my mate?.

I had heard of his various mundane and reckless pursuits but my Baby would not be added to the list.

I was about to respond when father interfered and agreed to it. This was something that I could never keep silent about, no one had the right to touch my mate except me.

She belonged to me, everything about her belonged to me. From her soul to her body and her heart, they are all mine and mine is hers.

"This is not happening" I uttered, everyone turned their gazes to me.

He had a daughter too and he knew the consequences of his actions. He should understand that Eva was someone's daughter and deserved her freedom from abuse and violence.

The more actions my father took, the more disappointed I became in him. He wasn't acting like the father who became my role model and aspiration.

"You are right, I don't want problems with your pack;Since I promised you wolfsbane and its antidote to save your pack, I don't think I want to jeopardize our good relationship over a useless slave” Alpha Seth arrogantly emphasized on the need for wolfsbane.

I smiled to myself and relaxed. I was glad that mother was on our side;it would make learning the truth about us easier.

"Please excuse me" I muttered and stood up on my feet.

“Why have you been ignoring me? "I questioned, feeling hurt by her behavior earlier.

"What if your parents never accept us?I know that I have developed a wonderful relationship with you mother but that doesn't deter the fact that she wants a reputable, strong and rich bride for her son" Eva spoke with her voice quivering.

My heart shattered while listening to her. She had been so bothered with those things that I thought maybe she didn't love me enough and our spark was only the mate bond.

"I'm worried about so many things, your sister hates me and likewise your father. How would your people take the news of their Luna being a mere slave and–"
