Chapter 8 “Revelations” POV Cassy Every time I turn around, there’s a naked Sebastian, in the shower, in my bed, in my head, and haunting my dreams. I’ve been having several ice cold showers a day. ‘Just give in to him, Cass,’ Cush keeps suggesting. “No! I will not let him win!” I yell inwardly at Cush. ‘Then you need to find a better tactic. Clearly, this is not working, and it’s only a matter of time,’ Cush teases. I head down for breakfast when Josh pulls me to the side. “I miss you, beautiful,” He runs his fingers through my hair and kisses me on the cheek. “Close your mouth and eyes,” he whispers. Josh sprays me from head to toe, then hands me the spray. “It gets rid of your scent for a whole day unless you sweat or shower. I ordered a box,” he says. I smile and kiss him on the lips, pulling him closer to me. “Can I take you for brunch?” he whispers in my ear. “What about Elsa?” I ask. “I don’t want Elsa. I want you.” “Then brunch sounds lovely.” We sneak out the kitchen door to his car and head to town. We grab brunch to go and drive a couple of hours to a cute little cabin by a lake. “It’s not the ocean, but it’s still water,” he smiles. “You’re going to have to marry me if you want the s*x part for kids,” I tease. “We could elope,” he grins. “I would run away any day with you, handsome,” I tease. Cush hasn’t said a word since we left the house. She likes Josh but thinks we should wait for Sebastian to claim us. On the third afternoon, Josh’s phone rings. “It’s Dad,” he grumbles. “Hi, Dad. Why would I know where Cassy is? Just because I don’t have Elsa with me… Yes, Father.” He hangs up and says nothing. “What now?” I ask. “I said yes; I didn’t say when.” His eyes light up. The next morning, Ethan pounds on our cabin door and drags me out by the arm. “Your Sebastian, mate Cass!” he growls. “Yet Sebastian can do whatever he wants, but I have to be a loyal mate.” “If you continue this, Sebastian is going to kill Josh, and none of us want that,” Ethan warns. “Clearly, you're a smart girl. All I ask is that you don’t involve Josh.” “Josh is the only one I want! He’s the only one who is kind to me. I don’t want anyone else!” I hiss. “If I ban Sebastian from having girls at the house, can you stay away from Josh?” Ethan tries to compromise. “No! I don't want to stay away from Josh! Ever!” The minute I walk in the castle, Sebastian has a huge smirk on his face. “Miss me, princess?” “No!” I howl. “I hate you! Keep your disgusting man w***e paws off me. I’m so done with you and your crap!” I shove him into the wall and storm past him. Later that night, Josh finds me. He tells me his father is sending him to do a bookkeeping course for four months overseas, and he leaves in the morning. He tells me where he hid the rest of the scent removing sprays and gives me his number, a credit card and the key to his office so I have somewhere private to call him. After a kiss goodbye, he heads to his hotel. I cry all night. When I wake up in the morning, I storm to Sebastian's office and trash it while I cry my eyes out, throwing every one of his stupid books through his glass window along with anything else that’s big enough to fit through the window. Cush says nothing to make me feel better, and Sebastian stands there watching me without saying a word. I steal one of the cars, drive to the airport, and then sit in the car the rest of the day crying, like a crazy person until I fall asleep. I wake up in my room, in bed with a tray of food sitting on the nightstand. I grab it and throw it at the wall. My hair is sticking every which way. I head upstairs and hear arguing. I get close enough to hear what they're saying. “Why is she acting like such a spoiled princess?” Sebastian growls. “Sophia doesn’t behave this way, and neither does Mom.” “Well, that's because they’re not our mates,” Ethan says. “Mom’s not your mate? How did you have kids?” “I had you and Josh with my fated mate. I was never married to your mother. She was my mistress. Your current mom is my chosen mate.” “Why haven’t you told me about my real mother?” Sebastian growls. “She passed shortly after your brother was born, or I would have more children.” “What? How did she die?” “This isn't about your mother. Maybe you could marry Sophia down the road. Let Cassy have Josh, and just have a child with her.” “No! Cassy is mine! My wolf won’t let her go. I can’t handle being away from her; there has to be another way.” “I don’t have an answer for you, son.” I hear Ethan leaving. I sneak upstairs and grab myself a coffee from the kitchen. Sebastian follows me. “Is this your new look? Fresh out of bed, can’t be bothered to fix yourself?” I ignore him. He grabs my coffee cup and smashes it against the wall.
