(Lena's POV). “I swear, if he even so much as growls today, I’ll melt,” I muttered to myself, adjusting the hem of my top as I stepped out of the main building and toward the training court. The sun had already begun to dip behind the trees, casting a warm golden glow across the open space. My heart fluttered with anticipation. After everything that happened between us—the heat, the rawness, the way Kai had touched and taken me—I hadn’t stopped thinking about him all day. My morning classes were a blur of doodled hearts and daydreams. I imagined all sorts of ways Kai might pin me against the wall or flip me during “training.” If he even smirked at me, I might combust. When I reached the court, my lips were already tugging up into a flirty grin. “Kai—” I started, voice soft, hopeful.
