(Lena's POV).
The lab was dimly lit when I stepped inside, the hum of electronics filling the silence.
Lucas was hunched over his workstation, his broad shoulders tense, his white lab coat hanging loosely from one side.
He turned around the moment he sensed me. I smiled at him as politely as possible.
“Hi,” I greeted him.
"Done with Adrian?" he asked, raising a brow, a teasing smirk tugging at his lips. "Did he bore you with lectures about strategy and self-control again?"
I could sense how jealous he was without me asking him first, but I didn't want to ask that, however, trying not to argue with him.
I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms. "Actually, yes. We went through focus training, then he hit me with a full session on battle strategy. My brain feels like it’s melting."
