(Kai's POV).
"Adrian," I said, pushing through the door to his office, my breath short from running.
Lena startled in her seat, wiping her eyes quickly. Adrian narrowed his eyes at me, sensing my urgency.
"We have a problem," I said, forcing the words out. "I checked the footage from Jena’s floor... It’s wiped. All of it. Right after the last time Lucas met her."
Adrian leaned forward, tension settling across his brow.
"Wiped? Completely?"
I nodded, jaw tight. "Not a trace left. Whoever did it knew exactly what they were doing."
Lena’s hands trembled slightly as she clutched the armrest.
"Does that mean—?" she started, but her voice cracked.
"It means," I cut in gently, "someone wants Lucas to take the fall."
Adrian cursed under his breath, running a hand through his hair.
