(Lena's POV).
The warmth of the shower wrapped around me, yet I couldn't shake off the chill that clung to my thoughts.
The past few hours had been a whirlwind—Jena’s cruelty, Kai and Lucas’s fight, and now this unshakable tension between all of us.
I ran my fingers through my hair, letting the water cascade down my back as I replayed the moment I locked eyes with Jena.
The fear that gripped me then still lingered in my chest, like an echo that refused to fade.
Why hadn’t I told Lucas the truth? Why did I let that fear silence me?
And then there was Kai. I pressed my lips together, irritation bubbling up inside me.
He had acted like he cared, but how could I believe that when he had just been with Jena earlier? It made no sense.
