Chapter 5After a fitful night’s sleep filled with unnerving dreams, Kenneth avoided looking too closely at the mirror. But when he briefly tucked in his shirt or combed his sleep-ruffled hair, he saw no one but himself. The days blurred from one to the next, his humdrum work at the warehouse and nights of book learning brightened by the occasional cup of good coffee and a glance at Gino’s smiling face.
