IVAN'S POV
As soon as Apollo left, Ariel started sobbing and I tried my best to comfort her while Hunter looked on.
"He won't dare lay a finger on you," I said to her.
Somehow, I doubted my own words. I wondered if I would truly be able to protect Ariel from my brother. Apollo was a maniac when it got to what he wanted. He could do just about anything to prove his authority to us, and I knew that if father got involved, things could take a very bad turn.
My words did little to comfort Ariel. She sobbed uncontrollably and Liv tried to calm her down.
"I said what I said to protect you for now," Liv muttered, using her fingers to push Ariel's hair away from her eyes. "None of us here would allow Apollo harm you. Be rest assured."
