Upon arriving at the tower, Lissana informed the guards that it was the queen's order to release the librarian.
The two guards thought she was deceiving them, but Dantriel appeared and confirmed that the order came from the queen.
Upon entering the tower, Lissana headed to the room where Eren was, but this time she didn't barge in; she knocked on the door and waited for him to open it.
He didn't take long to open the door. He leaned against the frame and asked,
“Do you need something?”
Seeing him, Lissana felt even more aware of him, something she had to suppress inside. He was her companion, but she rejected that bond.
“You are free; you can return to your duties as a librarian.”
Eren stared at her, showing no excitement about the news.
“I see.”
“Is that all you've got to say?”
