Two hundred wolves? First she's an extinct wolf that nobody has seen in over fifty years. Claims her brother has been kidnapped and missing for over a year. Now This? I thought as I stared down at Venus's sleeping form. She was cuddled up as close to me as she could but I could still see worry streaked across her face from time to time.

Rex man what if this is a trap?

No she is our mate, stop being stupid. 

I serious! They have witches, they could put a spell on me to make me think she was.

You are right they could put a spell on you, but not me. Rex huffed as he puffed his chest out. They can't trick me, she is our mate, she is mine.

You sure because something doesn't feel right. This is too fast, to sudden. I don't know if.....

If what, if you have a pair? Damn it Logan either you man up or I'll take over and you can whimper in the background like the baby you apparently are. Rex cut the link and went into the back of my mind fuming.

I ran my fingers through my hair and signed, Great so now I pissed him off and my mate will think I'm and asshole when Lilly hears about this. Thankfully there was a knock at the door and Skyler walked in.

"Shh she's sleeping," i said in a hushed tone, as I brushed some hair off her face and placed it behind her ear.

"Oh, s**t sorry man. I just thought you should know I brought her bag and gun, also the few rogues who were left ran when they saw us. I've beefed up the patrols for you as well." Skyler whispered as he placed the bag and gun on the chair near the door.

"Thank you. Send a pair of scouts to trace where the rogues go. Also we need to get the old pack grounds up and ready for about two hundred guests."

"Yes, Alpha, wait Two Hundred!" Sky said a little to loud. Venus moaned and began to stir

"Her pack" I said as I still questioned the validity of that statement, Sky just nodded wide eyed.

I shewed Sky away, he bowed an left the room. I looked down to see Venus staring at me with worry and confusion crossing her beautiful face. I sighed and just pulled her closer. I can't lose her due to my own issues. I will look into this later but for now I will just enjoy the fact I found my mate.

(Venus)

I didn't want to move, my whole body was sore and warm. I was comfortable and the thought of opening my eyes to realize everything was gone was weighing heavily on my heart. I started to hear talking and felt breath on my face. Was I still dreaming?

No you are not dreaming, your mate is still here.

He will leave me, I can feel it. He doesn't trust me. Lilly lets just go.

You know you gave him a lot to process, besides Rex wants us and so goes Logan. He is just nervous due to the fact we are basically bringing a whole pack here. He has lost a lot himself. Rex and I have been talking while you were sleeping. Logan will come around.

I hope so, I don't want to lose anyone again.

I slowly opened my eyes and was amazed by sight before me. Logan's toned body was pressed against me, one of his hands was slowly going through my hair, while the other was supporting his head as he leaned on the pillows looking down at me. My lashes must have brushed his chiseled chest for his eyes shot to mine. 

"Sleep well?" Logan asked as he smiled at me.

"Mh hm" I said as my words escaped me. He just chuckled and helped me into a sitting position.

"I had one of the girls bring you clothes and your bag is over on the chair" He said as stood up and headed for the bathroom. I immediately missed him as the warmth I was feeling left with him. "Give me a few minutes and the shower will be yours." 

"Ok thanks" I said feeling self conscious of the fact I was just wearing bandages and nothing else. I tightly hugged the sheet to me as I went over to the chair to grab my bag. I needed to make sure everything was there, and that my weapons were still intact. Some packs frown on human weaponry and destroy them on sight, but so far it looks like they left them alone. After checking everything was there I decided to reach out to Zeus and check on his progress.

"Zo! How are things"

"Not now, busy"

"Apollo?"

"Sorry Zo is busy pretending to be a zombie"

"Zombie? what the hell is going on? I thought you guys were escaping."

"We are it's just complicated, and you need to stay hidden, we will explain late but don't leave your mates side."

"Why? What's going on?"

".....we will explain later just keep your head down"

"Fine and you better!" I huffed as I didn't want to know what else we were now going to have to hide from. I am tired of hiding, running, and not having a home.

"Is everything ok?" Logan asked as his arms slowly wrapped around my waist startling me.

"I don't know, I couldn't reach Zeus but I was just talking to Apollo his wolf and was told not to leave your side." I said as I looked back at him, his hold on me tightened.

"I think that could be arranged, do you need help in the shower?" He said in a low growl quickly turning my body to jelly. Heat spread through my body and rested in my face and my soon to be seeping core. I separated from him as he whimpered and dashed into the bathroom.

"No I'm good" I said shakily, as he chuckled from beyond the door. This man is going to be the death of me, I thought as Lilly purred at the idea. First we shower then we can deal with the go on the other side of the door.
