****Flashback continues****
I stared at her as she mumbled unfamiliar words as she walked toward me. She reached out her hand and touched my forehead and her mumbling increased.
You need to play zombie boy again, she's starting to press against our shield and if she feels it we are in trouble. Apollo said as he huffed and sat down grumbling to himself why we just couldn't take her head now.
I calmed myself and retracted my claws as I slowly wiped all expression from my face and just continued to stare at her. I hunched my shoulders slightly as I tried to look as submissive as I could.
"There all better, nobody likes it when they go feral, see he's as domesticated as a loyal dog now." The witch cooed at me while petting my head.
Images of ripping her arm off and beating her with it danced through my mind as Apollo laughed.
"Come doggie we have much work to do and you've been naughty and left your cage, we must punish you for this but you will always be a good boy won't you." She cooed as you walked into the hallway I had previously left.
This time however, we walked down the tunnel with the children and she took a spray bottle I later would learn was filled with liquid silver and sprayed the kids who were glaring at her. They screamed and ran towards the back of their cell as they tried to cover their faces from the silver that latched onto it.
Apollo was fuming but he held it in, knowing that this wouldn't help us or them at this point. I followed her as she continued this ritual as walked down the hallway. At the end was a wooden door that had a small window and looked like it belonged in a small fairy cottage off in a tree somewhere.
The witch opened the door and led me into a room that looked like a science lab on steroids.
"Draw some of his blood, hopefully we can find the missing piece from him, and I can be rid of this hideous creatures." She stated as she huffed and pushed me into a metal chair and clamped me down into it.
There was a figure in the corner who was eyeing me and smirking as he slowly crept from the shadows.
"Hedi, how long until you can find what I need from him?" The smirking man asked the witch.
"Your grace, you really can't rush these things." Hedi said as she glared at the small shewolf who had come to draw my blood.
"well no matter, he looks like my brother and it's a little unsettling." As he spoke the light had shifted enough to reveal his disfigured facial features. He looked as though he bathed in silver everyday on purpose.
"I wouldn't know, but then again you don't look anything like your brother so there isn't much I can compare it to," Hedi said as she flipped her hair and walked towards a back room.
"He was my twin, we looked identical until he betrayed me. I am stuck in this misshapen figure until I can reclaim what they have taken from me!" The Alpha bellowed.
"As i recall you were the one who killed your parents to steal the throne. Your brother was defending himself, when he threw you into the vat of silver you were attempting to push him into." Hedi stated while lifting an eyebrow. "Tell me I'm wrong"
"You are not" He sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Just send him away, the sight of him hurts me."
So he was my relative who basically slaughtered my entire family for what? Some secret in our blood? None of this made sense and to figure out how to free those imprisoned here and free our family I needed more information. Hmm think Zeus think.
Then a lightbulb went off in my head. The witch knew more than she was saying and you could see it in her eyes. I could also tell that she was unhappy with the things she was made to do on my great grand uncles behalf. I needed to come back here and read through her journals and notes to figure out what this was all about.
I was led away but I kept quiet and followed like a good zombie should and memorized every twist and turn that took me from my objective. I was brought into a circular room that had chains hanging from the ceiling. Ah yes my punishment. I was flogged with a silver tipped whip, though my shields protected me I had to let the whip cut my skin in the beginning to at least show some form of pain and blood. I pretended to pass out as we passed the forty fifth strike, when Hedi entered she screamed at the person causing the pain that radiated through me.
"I told you only do twenty lashes, now look at him, he's useless to me for a few day." She huffed as he had me pulled down and brought to what I could only guess was an infirmary. When I was placed on the small cot, I let the darkness take me, as I slowly drifted off I thought I saw the witch cry, but that couldn't have been right, could it?
*****Flashback ends*****
Since then I have been sneaking out and exploring everything, I have only managed to find a few of the witches journals. Needless to say it was very enlightening, she hated my uncle, and she hated what he was doing to us. She had placed a spell on every wolf that they had captured that makes their emotions and pain sensory vanish as if they were dormant.
She was looking for the gene in our DNA that was suppose to allow for rebirth or to allow for my uncle's wolf to grow back. Apparently the vat of silver he fell into damaged his wolf causing him to go further insane. The only reason she was helping him was due to the fact she was his mate.
This was the first time I had let myself get caught, I needed to talk with Hedi, I needed to spring my plan of escape into action, but from the first time I saw her she never came back to see me. I needed to free my people and she was the key to all of this. She would be the means to our salvation, but I had to get her to trust me. To figure out how I could do that I needed to talk to her, and this was my best option.
"Our parents are alive Vee, Someone is coming I have to go" I linked Venus and prepared to enact my plan as Hedi walked into the room with a raised eyebrow and smirk on her face.
"So, are you done exploring or did you want to talk about something mist walker?" Hedi asked as she snapped her fingers and the chains that bound me vanished. "I've known for some time, that is why I left my journals out for you, and never interfered with what you were up to. So how can I help you escape?" she grinned at me with a motherly look as she waited for me to speak.
