I'm in a girl's room

As soon as Aria and I made it back to the palace, we headed straight to the arena to continue my training, only to find that some of the warriors in training beat us to it and were using the arena for their own training. “Oh,” Aria remarked when she saw the now full arena “I guess we were gone a bit too long.” “That’s alright,” I assured as I watched the elf students train “It’s actually pretty interesting to watch them train.” “I know, I like to watch them sometimes and see how well they’re doing.” As I began to follow her to the bleachers, some of the students greeted us with smiles, I was even surprised that they even greeted me kindly considering what Aria had warned them not to do to me when I was first introduced to them in the classroom. I still didn’t know if I should trust them though. “So, when you’re not training or doing any princess duties” I began as soon as we took a seat on the bleachers “What do you like to as a hobby?” “Well, I already told you that I can play certain instruments.” “Right,” I pointed “You gotta show me that someday.” “I will.” she promised with a smile “I also love reading. We have this magnificent library that’s filled with all sorts of books. All from classic stories to all the fairy tales, I read them whenever I can.” “Do you have a favorite story? Just so you know, I won’t be surprised if you say ‘The Lord of the Rings’.” She giggled, “That is one of my favorites actually, but if I had to pick one to be my favorite, I would say ‘The Princess Bride’.” “The Princess Bride?” I replied stunned. “I love the story.” she smiled, “And I also love the movie. Although that movie does make women look weak.” “True,” I nodded “As beautiful as Buttercup was, she barely did anything.” “Tell me about it.” she agreed “But I do love the story with all the action and comedy. It will always be one of my favorites.” “Mine too.” I smiled, “But I gotta ask, how were you able to watch these movies? You told me that you’ve seen all of the Lord of the Rings movies, how exactly? Because I doubt you have a TV here.” “I don’t.” she shook her head with a giggle as she leaned in towards my face “Can you keep a secret?” I was a bit stunned by her close she was to me that I nearly forgot to answer her. But I managed to snap out of my thoughts as I replied to her question. “Sure.” “Well,” she pulled away “We have this secret hideout in your world for all the elves and other beings to go to without being spotted. It’s hidden in the woods and it’s completely protected from humans and any other threats. And in this hideout is where we experience modern things like movies. We have a TV and a DVD player there, so whenever we want to watch a movie we go to that hideout.” “Wow,” I chuckled “So do you prefer your world or my world?” “Well,” she tittered, “As much as I admire a lot of things about your world, Fantastopia is my one and only home, and I’m proud of it. And I’m not just saying that because I’m the princess of this world, but even if I wasn’t the princess, this is my home sweet home.” “Even with the ruler of evil being back?” She sighed, “There’s always gonna be evil everywhere, in this world and your world. But when there’s evil, there’s always a good side, and I’m prepared for whatever Z brings us, and you gotta be prepared too.” “I know.” I sighed as well when I turned to the practicing warriors “Are all of these guys prepared?” “I think so,” she shrugged “They all have been training for years, they’re practically experts now.” But at that moment, one of the male students suddenly fell forward and slammed right into the concrete wall with a hard force as he tumbled back. “Oo!” Aria and I cringed. “Like I said” she spoke, “Accidents happen.” She then peered over the rail at the elf guy who was already bleeding from his nose. “You alright?” she asked him. “I’m fine,” he winced while clutching his nose as he noticed how much blood he was losing “Maybe not.” “Go to the nurse.” “I’m on it.” I watched as he heaved himself up while holding his b****y nose as he hurried out of the arena. “Oo,” Aria suddenly cringed as I turned to see that she was looking at some blood spots on the ground “See what I mean when I say to be careful where you step cause there might be blood?” “Does this happen a lot?” I asked. “Eh,” she shrugged “Not everyone’s careful.” I shivered a little, I’m not so comfortable with the sight of blood. But since seeing blood might be part of my new life, I needed to find ways to suck in my guts to prevent myself from barfing. If anything, I’m not gonna die an embarrassing death. “Hey,” I suddenly spoke when a thought came to me “Since these guys are using the arena, can we use this time for you to show me your room? Nothing dirty or anything, it’s just I’ve never seen a princess’s room before.” “Come on,” she giggled. We had to go up about 3 stories and then down a hall where there was only one room at the end that consisted of two large doors. “Here we are” Aria announced as she pushed the doors open as we stepped into her bed-chamber. Holy moly, I had a feeling a princess’s room would look amazing, and boy was I right. Like any other bedroom, there was the bed, the desk, the closet, the dresser, and the shelves. But this room was decorated with an enchanted forest theme that included vines wrapped around the king-size bed that had a canopy hanging above it with sheer white sheets, it also has a bay window, a large chandelier, a beauty table, flowers here and there, and there were even some decorative lights that looked like fairies hanging from the walls and windows. This was such a beautiful room, so perfect for the princess of a fantasyland. “Wow,” I breathed amazed “This is incredible. It’s like you brought an enchanted forest into your room.” “Yeah,” she agreed with a smile “A lot of the rooms in here are decorated like this.” “Well, it’s certainly beautiful.” “Thank you.” she thanked as she walked over to her wooden dresser with gold details “Remember when you asked me if you could see my tiaras?” “Yes,” I pointed “Are they in there?” “Have a look.” She pulled one of the drawers out as my face dropped. When I wanted to see her tiaras, I expected to see like two or three, but not this many that it filled up the whole drawer. I couldn’t tell how many there were, but they were all different and aligned on some purple velvet. “Whoa,” I remarked surprised “That’s uh- that’s quite a collection.” “I know,” she giggled “I’ve worn every one of these in my life, some are for special events and some are for my casual days.” “How many do you have?” “A total of twenty.” “Twenty?” I gasped. “Yeah,” she giggled again “Tiaras are one of my guilty pleasures. I may not always dress the part of a princess, but I do have my girly side.” I chuckled as I looked down at the tiaras. “Do you have a favorite?” I asked. “I do actually” she replied as she reached down and pulled out one of the tiaras “This one I usually wear on my casual days.” Like most of the tiaras, this one was made with multiple swirls with two thin silver wires and a thicker one. “Nice,” I commented as she slid it onto her head. Whoa, it surely looked amazing on her. Even though she wasn’t wearing a dress, the tiara actually went well with her outfit. And with her boho styled hair and beautiful face, she truly looked like the badass elf princess she was. “Even nicer,” I commented with a bigger smile as she let out another of her sweet giggles. “Although I can’t help but notice that you don’t have any gold tiaras, just silver ones.” “I know, and there’s a reason for that. All elf crowns and tiaras for princes and princesses are silver while the ones for kings and queens are gold.” “Oh really?” “Yeah. So when it’s time for me to be crowned queen, I will get crowned with a gold one, and then I’ll get more golden tiaras.” “Wow,” I responded amusedly as I pointed to her tiaras “And what will you do with all these?” “I’m gonna save them. That way if I have a daughter in the future I’ll give all of these to her.” I smirked, “Have you already come up with baby names?” She snickered, “To be honest, I haven’t yet. But there’s no rush. Besides, I have to get married first.” “Right,” I nodded as she closed the drawer. But that got me curious about what kind of man she’s into, and if I’m her type. No, don’t think about that Jesse, she already told you she’s not interested in looking for anyone right now. But hey, a man can dream. “So is this your closet?” I pointed to two doors that appeared similar to the ones that led us in. “Yes, and you’re not allowed to open it.” “Why’s that?” I raised an eyebrow “It’s just clothes, right?” “Yes,” she nodded as she walked over to the closet doors and placed her hand on it “But there’s something special in here that no one is allowed to see except for my dad and Hazel.” “What is it?” I snickered “Is it your wedding dress?” She suddenly looked down while pressing her lips together. And that sudden change of tone made me realize that my joking question didn’t have a false answer. “Oh, it is your wedding dress?” I gasped “Really?” “Yep,” she breathed with a small smile. “You already picked out your wedding dress?” “It was my mother’s.” Oh, that explains it. “I keep it in here until that special day comes” she added still smiling. “Does it fit you?” “I try it on once every month to make sure it fits me. Now I don’t know when I will get married, but I will definitely be wearing my mother’s wedding dress.” Aww, that’s nice to know. I’ve always liked the idea of girls wearing their mother’s wedding dresses. “Aria?” we suddenly heard a knock as we turned to see the king peeking in from the door. “Oh, hello Jesse” he greeted me with a smile. “Your Majesty.” I smiled back “Um, we’re just talking, I swear.” “Well,” he chuckled “That’s nice to know. Aria, I need your help with something.” “Oh, sure” she replied when she turned to a clock on the wall “It’s four right now, Jesse, what time do you have to go back?” “Um...” I began to think “I think 6 cause I have classes tomorrow.” “Alright, we’ve got time. Um, you can stay in here until I get back. Just don’t touch anything, okay?” “Will do,” I promised as she left the room with her dad. Well, I was now alone in a princess’s room and I wasn’t allowed to touch anything. So what can I do until she gets back? I really wanted to see the wedding dress, but being the good guy that I am, I wasn’t going to do that. I guess I’ll just sit on the bay window and gaze outside. It was a really nice bay window with the royal seat cushions and decorative pillows, and it was sure a nice view out the window. So as I sat there gazing out the window, I let my thoughts take over to pass time. And as I gazed down at my ring that was a calming blue, it took me back to when I was almost killed by that Orc all because of my slippery fingers. Or perhaps I was actually dumb at that moment to even take off my ring in the woods. I got to be more careful next time, I knew how sacred this ring was to this land. But I can’t help but wonder what would happen if I do lose the ring, but what if I didn’t lose it to evil? What if I happen to lose it in the woods or something? Will it come back to me? Looks like I’ve got more questions to ask Wren.
