It was getting rather difficult to keep a straight path, they’d been walking for hours and Mia’s legs couldn’t hold up the weight of her body any longer. The darkness stood as an obstacle as the large trees of the forest blocked out any form of light that the moon might have brought. Diarmuid was ahead of her but she could barely see him, she didn’t even know if he was still ahead of her, she just followed a faint figure in the darkness. Her head pounding and thighs burning up… she soon gave in to the weakness she felt and like a log fell flat to the ground. None of her muscles paid heed her command, the mental wish to get back up…. She wondered if Diarmuid had noticed or if she was just all alone in the forest. Her eyes became heavy and visions blur, giving in to the darkness.
