Chapter Thirty-One
Linda ruminates on Supervisor Rhonda’s proposal. But not for long. She finds herself quickly transferred to the custody department, her assignments being to escort those held for trial and others between jail and the courts.
In considering the plan, she realizes it will mandate an end to her career at the U.S. Marshals Service. Convincing a witness to forgo testifying and jumping from prospective witness protection is not only grounds for termination but prison time as well... akin to witness tampering.
