Erina's POV:
My heart just stopped at the same of my name, eyes widened with terror. Fear of getting caught. I turned around quickly. It was Marco. Adrian’s manager.
“What are you doing here at this time?” he asked. There was confusion in his features.
I have never been in this situation before. I swallowed hard and replied with some bravery.
“I ….um .I couldn’t sleep . You know, a new place, so I thought that I should get some fresh air,” I said with a made-up smile.
He furrowed his brows and said with a grin, “ Oh..yeah. It happens but miss, it’s raining. You should get inside. Boss will be pissed off at me if he knows I let you drench in the rain. Please…”
Marco expanded his hand to gesture to me to get inside. As I got inside , he closed the glass door. My plan failed on this day. However, I didn’t give up because I didn’t.
I planned for the next day. As I woke up and headed downstairs, I discovered the mansion without Adrian. I didn’t see him all day. Maids said he went to the office of his company.
It spent the day in my room alone waiting for night to come so that I could leave his cage. It was dark all around. I settled everything with Louis before.
9:00 PM. Dinner time! I even had my dinner without Adrain. They said he hadn’t arrived yet.
Whatever.
The clock ticked. It’s 12’o clock. I was so busy that I didn’t hear Adrian's car’s sound when he arrived.
It was 2:30. The long-awaited time. It was a beautiful full moon that night.
Before I could even take any step off the balcony, a hand grabbed my shoulder , grip tight—stopping me from moving any further.
