"Get dressed",she commanded as I got to her room."We're going out". "Where are we going?", I asked. "Ooh,I forgot to tell you,I ran into a friend of mine. She was our neighbour when we lived in Manchester and she has invited us to have dinner with her because she would love to see you",mum said. I rolled my eyes."See me?",I said quietly. "See you. Now c'mon honey,go get dressed". I stood up and went straight to my room and started rummaging my wardrobe for what to wear. I took for a blue gown and a silver chain and did my hair in a ponytail. "Wait",I thought."It's not like I'm going to a prom night". And with that I pulled the gown off and settled for a dark blue jeans and green top. "Eleanor,you've been in that room dressing for ages",I heard my mum's voice across the stairs. I quickly put on my white sneakers and ran down the stairs. It was then I remembered that I had not done my assignment."I'll do it later",I thought and forgot about it. "Now, focus on where you are going",I mumbled as I strapped the seatbelt. The drive from Castro street to Valencia street was not really hectic.My mum kept ranting on and on where we were going. "Nora,Mrs.Thompson was a very kind woman when we were at Manchester.She has a son about your age",she said for the umpteenth time. My mum calls me Nora or Ellie most times. She calls me Eleanor whenever she's stern.
