Chapter 7 Wade “Drew? Got a minute?” I asked after our morning meeting. “Sure. Here?” I shook my head. “Walk with me?” He nodded, and after waving goodbye to the others, we took the path from the office to the lake. Neither of us spoke at first. I knew he was waiting for me to say something, but I couldn’t organize my thoughts enough to communicate what I wanted to say. After yesterday’s amazing date, everything spun so fast in my head, I feared I might get seasick. “It looks like it’s gonna rain,” Drew said. I looked at the overcast sky, the clouds thick and gray, and the air smelled like rain.
