Chapter 33Snow fell through the week, accumulating, then melting, turning to ice in the frigid evenings, all as my silly little prank grew, sprouted legs, and charged off on its own errands. The car Alec and I had nudged down the proverbial hill kept on rolling, pushed along by more and more excited strangers, hundreds of them. On Monday there’d been the one initial arrest.
