EPILOGUE Wabash, Indiana 1967 Now that I am twenty-eight years old, I have finally come to the realization that Wabash will always be my home. The Jacksons are still my second family, and they treat Jake as if he's their own grandson. It warms my heart to see how happy he makes them. Mr. Jackson offered me a job in the office at the dealership, where I have been working for more than six years. My boy often comes to the office so he can help his grandpa and learn all he can about cars. I still have Marilyn, and Jake is learning to appreciate her cheerful but fading beauty.
