“If you claim that you love your husband, then why did you have to kill him?” Trevor asked.
“What are you talking about, kid?” Reyar asked, in stunned disbelief.
“Wait, were you not the one who killed Emit?”
“What?” She stepped backward, then fell to the ground, tears streaming down her cheeks. And she let go of Sebastian.
It was the perfect moment for them to escape. Sebastian tiptoed towards Trevor. Reyar crying on the ground, murmuring things that only she could hear.
Trevor waited a few minutes for her to comprehend everything. Then asked again.
“If you didn’t kill Emit, then who could have done it?”
Reyar looked up at Trevor, anger burning in her eyes.
“I don’t care about who killed him. But I’m certain about who will kill you,” she wiped her tears. It was like she was not crying a few seconds ago.
“Ease now, woman. I know you would love to know who killed the love of your life, isn’t it?” Though she did node of agreed, he knew the question was running in her head. “I want to find that coward, just like you do. So I was thinking we work together. With your powers and mine combined. Whoever it is doesn’t stand a chance.”
“You and I will never work together. You are the son of Martha. I hate that woman with all my heart, so, forget it. And I would advise you to not take your friend with you,” she smirked and pointed at the bracelet on Sebastian.
Trevor looked at his friend’s wrist. It was a silver bracelet with blue glowing diamond-like things on the sides.
He looked at Sebastian, then turned to Reyar.
“What is nonsense?” Trevor asked.
“A bracelet, isn’t it lovely?” She smirked yet again.
“Trevor. It’s. B..burning,” Sebastian stammered as he touched the hand with the bracelet forcefully. “It. Hates. Man!” He screamed.
“What are you doing to him?” Trevor looked back at Reyar again. “What do you want to achieve with this?”
“Well, immediately you take him out of this place, he will die. So don’t even think about it.”
“Why should I believe that? You must as well be lying.”
“You have seen what I can do with that bracelet. So you don’t have any choice but to take my word for it,” she took two steps towards them.
“Trevor. It. Hates!” Sebastian screamed even louder.
“Stop it. Reyar, I said stop it. I said stop it dammit!” His voice echoed in the hall.
And immediately vines left the ground and charged towards Reyar. She jumped on the opposite side and the vines struck thin air.
He called to his wizarding powers and his wand appeared in his hands. Then he quickly waved it and some sort of burial appeared and prevented the serpents from saving their leader.
After seeing that, Trevor turned to face Reyar and pointed the wand at her.
“Undo whatever you did to him? Now,” he demanded.
“What if I say no?” Reyar replied.
“Then I have no other choice but to kill you.”
“Did you seriously think by blocking them you can defeat me? Listen, nature, you stand no chance against me. And you friend is useless, so this is one on one,” she pointed out.
Trevor looked at Sebastian and the man was still crying in pain.
“Reyar, free him from this stupid bracelet,” he demanded again. Then he raised his wand.
Before he could shout out the jinx, he fell to the ground as he felt something squeezing him.
“What are? You doing. To. M...me?” He demanded yet again.
“I told you, that you stand no chance against me. But you didn’t want to listen, did you? This is the price you have to pay.” She moved closer to him, “and I stopped caring for my husband a long time ago, child,” she lifted Trevor’s face and threw him back on the floor.
“Then what was the drama for?”
“Well, you see, these bastards called serpents don’t like heartless people, so I had to put on a show. And I did great, didn’t I? Like at them trying to save me,” she pointed at the burial. Judging by their reactions, they can’t see what’s going on the other side.
Trevor tried to get up, but she squeezed him harder and he fell back on the ground.
“I have an opportunity to kill Martha’s son, and you thought I would let it go? No way, boy.”
She held her hand and pushed Sebastian, the poor man went skidding on the floor, and only stopped after hitting on a wall.
Trevor tried to get up but failed miserably again.
If he doesn’t do anything soon, then I can say goodbye to seeing his daughter grow.
He just had to outsmart her. Somehow.
She went closer to him again, “you were hoping to save your daughter, but little did you know you were putting her in more danger,” she said.
And something about her word choice kicked Trevor in the heart.
He swept his leg and kicked her back knees.
She fell on her knees, then he kicked her jaw and she hit the ground.
He called to his demon powers and lifted her. “Surprisingly, you thought you were going to win. I’m still young, and you are old. Keep that in mind,” Trevor spoke, seeming to overcome the pain he was in moments later.
She looked at Trevor murderously.
“Don’t even bother, it won’t work, “ he said, “my demon powers make me immune to been possessed, or whatever you were doing to me.”
“You won’t get away with this,” she said, hanging in the air.
“I think I’m getting away right now,” he smirked.
“Trevor. I’m feeling. Ok now,” Sebastian gasped as he limped toward Trevor.
“Good, and where the hell is your necklace?” He asked as he looked at Sebastian.
“She took it,” he pointed at Reyar. “Where the hell is my necklace?” He demanded.
“You thought by asking I was going to give it to you? Then you were sadly mistaken, boys. And you still can’t use your powers,” she looked at Sebastian. “That bracelet still contains your powers, and i’m the only one with the keys.”
“But I think there is another way to go about it,” Trevor spoke and looked from Sebastian to Reyar.
“What do you mean?” She asked.
“Well, killing you, of course. What better way to get his bracelet and for your powers not to control him,” his smile stretched wider.
Trevor’s veins began glowing, so did his eyes.
“I would start asking for forgiveness if I were you. Who knows, you might just end up in heaven,” Trevor said darkly.
Reyar began laughing murderously, Trevor began squeezing her, but her laughter didn’t die down.
He moved his hand and Reyar slammed into a wall, but she was still laughing. He moved her again, and she slammed into the invisible burial, still, the woman was smiling.
He called to his nature powers and tied her with vines. Then he went closer to her. His veins and eyes still glowing.
His left eye was glowing with a bright light, while his right eye was glowing with flame-like color.
“Will see if you will continue I’m done with you,” he said through clenched teeth.
Then he punched her so hard, not caring she was a woman. Her head moved to the other side, but he punched her again and her head moved in the opposite direction.
She turned and looked at him. Blood coming from both her mouth and nose.
Then she spat the blood on Trevor’s face.
He wiped the blood from his face with his hand, then uppercut her. She moved a few inches from the ground, then fell on her back.
Surprisingly, she was still laughing. And this made Trevor worried.
Why was she relaxed and laughing? She was about to die without killing Trevor. That was enough to smash her heart and confidence. But the woman was laughing on top of her lungs. Did she have something up her sleeves? If that was the case, then what was it?
He needed to figure this out and soon, or things night, just go south for him and Sebastian.
He went over and lifted her, then punched her again in the face multiple times, making her nose bleed even more.
“You know you are dying. But do you mind telling me why the hell you are so happy?” Trevor asked.
“Well, you are stupid enough not to sense the danger around you,” she spitted blood on the other side and carried on laughing like a mad person.
“Is she ok?” Sebastian asked as he limped closer to Trevor.
“I’m not sure. I think she has a mental problem or something,” Trevor said and punched her, letting her go in the process and she hit the floor.
“Are you going to kill her or should I do it?” Sebastian asked.
“I think I will have the honors.”
He turned to her and held his hands. She raised, and he began widening his hands. Her body began expanding, following the motion Trevor was making.
They before he could finish the process. Something slammed him behind and he went flying and flipping in the air until he hit the wall.
He tried to turn and see who it was, but he was too weak. With one glance at Sebastian, who was laying unconscious ten feet from him, his eyes become heavier, and finally, they closed.
*
He woke to the sound of water splash on his face.
He jumped from the couch, ready to obliterate the fool, but his shoulders relaxed when he saw that it was just his family.
Then a thought hit him. Sebastian.
“Where is Sebastian?” He looked from Loveness to Natasha, who was five feet from him. “And how the hell did I end up here?”
“Trevor, relax. Sebastian is alright. He is in the room sleeping. Which you were supposed to do,” she looked at him angrily.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t regret my actions,” he said stubbornly.
“And because of your stupid act, you could have died,” Natasha spoke.
“How did we end up here? The last thing I remember I was laying unconscious a few feet from Sebastian. Someone slammed me behind, and I failed to see who it was.”
“Well, Mutale and I tressed you. So we came to help you,” Justine said.
“Dude,” Erup said, holding his arms in the air.
“Oh, and Erup helped, though I did most of the work,” Justine smiled admiringly.
“Oh, please,” Mutale said, “It was a woman. We were unable to see her face because she was kind of wearing a mask. But she had long whithe hair that brushed her ass....”
“Mutale force. I expect this from you two brothers but not you,” Trevor cut in after seeing his son drooling over his enemy.
“Oh, sorry. But her figure looked like that of a young lady, let’s see...... The same size as Natasha and Loveness.”
“Boy, show us respect,” Loveness said.
“Sorry, mother.”
“Trevor, who is this woman again? I thought the only ones threatening our lives were the academy. But I think that is not the case,” Loveness spoke. “If something is up, I need you to tell us right now,” she demanded.
“Everything is in control. Don’t stress yourself ok? That woman will pay for her cowardly behavior. Striking when I wasn’t looking,” he paused his lips. “And, how did you get both me and your uncle out of that place?” He looked at the boys.
“Well, as soon as we arrived, Erup spitted his slimy staff and blinded her for a while. Then Justine dealt with the other woman who was laying on the floor. On the other hand, I shadow walked both you and uncle here,” Mutale explained.
“I appreciate your help. But always take extra measures when going to such battles, ok?” They nodded. But something about their eyes told Trevor there was something they were not telling him. “What’s the problem? What are you not telling me?” Trevor asked, looking from Mutale to Justine, them finally Erup. But none of the boys looked at him.
“Well...” Mutale began, but failed to say it.
“Mutale, what the hell are you hiding? You know if I find out from someone else, they will be consequences for your actions,” he said assuredly.
“Well, we needed to take drastic measures as you said,” Justine began as well.
“Go own,” Trevor gestured his hand.
“So we sought Death and Hope’s help,” Erup said in a rather squeak sound.
“You what!” Trevor gasped, and the boys jumped back.
