They walked for almost an hour and the light was still far away from them. But at least no weird creatures were chasing them. The grass was now enough to reach Trevor’s chest and with the boys; it was reaching their shoulders.  Just as Trevor dropped his foot, he felt water underneath. He looked down, but he could see nothing because of the darkness.  “Stay back,” he said, looking behind at Mutale and Justine. “Father, what is wrong?” Justine asked.  “I can feel water entering my shoes, so just stay where you are.” “Father, it is just water. Harmless water,” Mutale said. “We don’t know that. Our coming is weird to begin with, then those creatures. That is enough to make me believe this water is not the usual water. So, just stay back.
