ShannonI felt better when I got home but woke up the next day feeling off, so I called the doctor first thing in the morning.
“We had a cancellation so we can squeeze you in if you get here in the next half hour.”
“Done.”
Sitting in the doctor’s office crinkling in a paper gown, I thought back to the fast food hamburger I’d had the previous day and got queasy. Then, the door opened, and my doctor, Angie Franklin, came in.
“Tell me what’s going on.”
I described the recent bout of nausea, running through what I’d eaten in the past forty-eight hours.
