Chapter 23 ShannonWorking with Vivienne was surprisingly easy. Not that I expected the work to be difficult—just awkward. And it wasn’t. She received a shipment of pillow covers, duvets, and coverlets from one of her vendors. Each item needed to be matched to a customer job and set aside for delivery. I looked again at my list of job numbers and then the list of what had been received. The job order called for six pillow covers, but I saw only three in the shipment. Putting a question mark by that one, I added a note to ask Vivienne about it. I found another discrepancy a few minutes later. A quilt was missing. After cataloging everything, I wandered down the hall and found my boss in her office. Not wanting to barge in, I hovered in the doorway. “Knock, knock. Do you have a second?”
