Chapter 49 Jonah“What have you done?” Dad boomed from the doorway. I popped my head up from my computer and removed my headphones. Nanette hovered behind my father, mouthing, “I’m sorry.” When I needed to focus, I closed his door, threw on some music, and sank into my work. Nanette would tell anyone who stopped by that I was absolutely not to be disturbed.
