The Empress (English Version)

Chapter VIII

Caitlin's POV 

It's 5:00 o'clock in the morning and here I am preparing to head to Japan. We have to train hard to make ourselves stronger. We better get ready, so they can attack us anytime and we will not be scared because we are ready. Always be ready just like a girl scout. Kidding aside, we should always be prepared to never repeat the past. 

It's already 5:40 AM and I'm here at the Chuchu airport. I make it extra early this time to see who will be late this time. I want to see who is going to be punished, or we can have a normal training for now. They know how much I hate waiting and to be late under any circumstances because if they do that to me I will make the training be hell. DDG's strict rules are always followed what the leader says, and don't disappoint me because I know what's best for us and will never put them in any danger or harm. 

I saw Jacob walking towards me, and I checked my watch and it's already 5:45 AM. Five (5) minutes more for my brother and Alexa. Even though he's my older brother, he still needs to do the punishment. Rules are rules. I felt that Jacob was just standing beside me and looking at me intently. 

"Why are you standing here, there's a seat right there. And staring is rude you know." I said to Jacob as he looked at where Alexa and Caden will be walking. 

"I'm seeing your black aura now. What are you thinking?" I just shrug and ignore him again. I checked my watch and it's already 5:48 am. 2 more minutes more, and for the last time, I will check it will be the time I will walk towards the plane. I look at my watch again and just stand up and walk to the private plane. It's already 5:51 AM, and they're late. 

"Let's go." He just nodded and follow me. I knew he was feeling that I wasn't in the mood today. Actually that's because last night I was crying again, so I promised myself that I would not cry again. And that I will make the search for the person who killed them fast. I need to take this more seriously. Just before we got on the plane I heard someone shouting. 

"CAITLIN WAIT." My brother and Alexa run towards us. I checked my watch and it's already 6:01 AM. They are so late. I guess they will be struggling later. When we got to the plane I sat on the side near the window and just looking outside. And I could feel that my brother is sitting next to me. 

"You know you're late, right?" I say softly but with a spooky tone here. 

"I'm sorry, I wake up late." He explained. I just shrug in response.

"What will be our punishment?" I smirk at what he said. He got up after seeing me smirk suddenly and sat down on another chair. 

"What's with her?" My older brother asked Jacob, and they just look at me.

 "She's been like that since I got here. I'm afraid of her now." Jacob whispered back here. They kept their mouth shut when they saw me looking intently at them. And they just turned away suddenly. Tss, if you are going to whisper, they should do it quietly. 

We have arrived at our HQ in Japan and went to our training room. We also have a training room in the Philippines but I want to train here because it's far more better and advance. The equipment here is better than that. 

"Jacob I want you first. Train yourself with dummies. I'll set it as the hardest one so you go and put all your strength there. You can also choose any weapons you want to use." I explained to him once we're in the training room. He nodded and quickly took the katana he had behind him and took some daggers and shoved to his pocket then went inside the room. 

We are here in the control room to watch everything Jacob does. I have already set it to hard and controlled the dummies. 

Immediately an ax came to Jacob but he just dodges it. And suddenly a machine gun came out and targeted him

"You gotta be kidding me" I heard Jacob complained. He spun around and quickly ran into the machine gun while avoiding those bullets. When he reaches the back of the machine gun, he took out a katana to cut through the middle of it. Jacob took a deep breath and ran back to the middle of the room. The dummies came out and surrounded him. 

There were only seven dummies but they were set to hard so he could go all out his strength and push him to his limits. They attacked at the same time to him but he immediately grabbed one of them that was near him and he beheaded it. He kicked the one on his right and punch the one to his left. He pulled the one behind him and immediately threw it in front of him, knocking down two dummies. He immediately grabbed his dagger and throw it to the one who is going to punch him in the face.

2 down 5 to go. 

He was going to be hit by the two dummies at the same time but he avoided it and pulled the one to his right and he hit it with his knee and quickly took a dagger and stabbed him in the forehead. He did the same to the one on his left. 

4 down 3 to go. 

The three dummies released their katana so he also brings out his. One dummy ran towards him and he did the same but he's faster than it that he just broke it, the dummy's body was split and it crashed. The two of them attacked Jacob and he was just defending. Jacob is on defense and looks like he just having fun. In my boredom, I ordered a Four (4) dagger to fly in his direction but he immediately avoided the three. One dagger wounded his face but it was just a shallow wound. 

I saw that he look so pissed right now because of what happened but I just said,

"Serves you right, finish them off now." He immediately ran to a dummy and divided it into the middle. And throw another to the last dummy in the forehead. He came to the middle of the control room, bowed, and walked out. 

The other two seemed shocked at what I have done. They were probably surprised when I showered Jacob some daggers. This is the first time I am handling their training like this, I mostly let them do whatever they want in the past as long as they are training.

"We're you trying to kill me !?" he slammed the door shut which was something I didn't like so I looked intently at him, but I knew I was too much so I adjusted my facial expression and smiled a good smile. As he approached me I immediately whispered to him sorry, and he nodded with a smile on his lips. 

"You have to be alert all the time. You never know what's coming. Remember death doesn't tell you when it's coming." I said with a serious face and tone to him. And there he was standing dumbfounded again. I didn't mind him and look at the other two. 

"And for you two. Your punishment will be fighting with me." The two seemed to be surprised and scared. 

"Caitlin, why do you have to be this mean." Big brother's nagging. 

"Yes Empress, is there anything else you want us to do besides that?" Alexa said, adds the obvious fact that she doesn't want to fight against me.

"Because you complained, All the lights are off on 30 minutes with no weapons." And there they were dumfounded again.

"Don't worry I won't kill you. You just need to stay alert." The two sighed and took a deep breath. That's what they get because they're late. I got up to leave the control room and they followed me. 

Third person's POV 

They were standing in the middle of the room and Empress suddenly applauded and the light to went off. Jacob focused on the two of them as if he was praying for their safety. You can see everything in the control room even when the light is off, the camera has night vision. 

"Always be alert," Empress told the two. The two don't let there guard down and feel the surroundings. She threw two daggers at the same time in different directions, one to Caden and one to Alexa. The two of them quickly escaped, but the flying daggers went straight toward them. The daggers are flying continually everywhere, they managed to avoided it but Alexa was wounded to her right leg and Caden to his left shoulder.

"Don't kill us Caitlin for God's sake!" Caden shouted here. 

"I told you to be alert," Empress replied back. 

"Alexa are you okay?" Caden asked. 

"Yep, there's a little shallow wound but I'm okay." Alexa reply back here. Suddenly, she punches into Alexa's side, causing her to feel pain. 

"Ahhh!" Alexa scream. 

"Stop talking and be alert." Said, Empress. 

"Not fair," Caden said angrily, and then he was quiet. Empress quickly go to the direction where Caden was and going to attack him but he managed to avoid it. Caden punches back, but the Empress just avoids it. Empress pulls Caden down and going to kneed him down but Alexa quickly punches her in order for Caden to break free while Empress backs away. 

The two worked together to attack the Empress. However, she just avoided it. He kicked Caden that causes him to out of balance. And try to hit Alexa in the fact that she was able to avoid it immediately, and she hit Empress on the side that causes her to feel pain. 

"Ugh! That was good Alexa." Said the Empress. Alexa was so happy that she loses her focus and she immediately counter-attacked her so that she could be knocked down. It was only because the Empress was suffering from pain when she hit her, so she was glad to hear Empress praise her for what she had done. 

Caden stood up and attacked Empress but she was quick and pulled Caden's punching arm behind him. Caden screamed in pain, and she immediately releases it and put a hand around on Caden's neck. 

"I told you brother always be alert, what's bothering you and you are weak like this today?" And then the light went on in the room where it signifies that 30 minutes had passed. Caitlin immediately leaves Caden and exits the room and enters the control room. Caden then helped Alexa and was taken to the control room. 

"That's what you get when you're late," Empress said to the two of them.

"I'll call the medics to check on you. After you get the treatment, I'll be waiting for you on the plane. We better get moving we have to meet the GG." Then Empress left the room. And again, she left them dumbfounded. 

"What happened to your date, Jacob? Why did Caitlin decide to be more serious now?" Caden asked coldly as Jacob stared at the door where Caitlin had come out. 

"If this goes on, we need to keep training to help her better, or else she'll abandon us on the mission despite our abilities," Caden said with a serious face on it. The two nodded in response to their response.
