This heart once hard as a rock
Is now as soft as snow
Like the heat upon a volcanic rock
The molten tears flow
He thought he could bear
The feeling of despair
As life escaped his dear
And the porter of hades served her a chair
But as he watched that tender thing
The beauty of her face dwindling
The sweetness of her last word was so piercing
That his heart couldn’t bear the sting
He grasped without understanding
He looked without seeing
He listened without hearing
But he was sure he felt death singing
For she was but the last of her kind
Three from a woman they were introduced
To this world, but from it, they have declined
All leaving none behind
A family once softened by femininity
Is left with only the bone of masculinity
The mother the last hope of tranquility
In the strife of masculine brutality
He has now an injunction
To carry in his soul a duality
A masculine and feminine fusion
To foster peace and serenity
Though his heart may bleed
He has to pick up the staff
Leading they that weep
For he has a STRONG HEART
Dedicated to a brother, and to all those who are enduring the tragedy of losing one of their sisters, their only sister, or all their sisters. Be consoled, brave on....
