My eyes opened and the first sight I laid eyes on was Alysia who was still fast asleep. I propped myself on my arms so I could stare at her face.
She was breathtakingly beautiful even when asleep. The sunlight from the window kissed her skin, making her glow.
Her hair was all over my pillow. It was messy but it made me ache to touch her while she looked fragile and content in my bed.
Her chest rose and fell softly, her breathing barely audible and I couldn’t resist leaning down to steal a soft kiss, careful so I didn’t wake her.
I froze when she shifted and curled into herself but then breathed out a sigh of relief when she continued sleeping.
I was deeply in love with her. The realisation was gentle, calm and soothing.
